Explore the Welsh countryside from this converted stone barn, which is perfect for families and friends to spend time together on an adventure. Set within 600 acres of farmland, there are walking routes right from the doorstep ranging from easy to more challenging hikes, including the mighty Berwyn Mountain range. There is a wide array of wildlife, flora and fauna to be seen on these walking routes and a week could easily be spent exploring without the car.. Pistyll Rhaeadr (9 miles) is certainly worth a visit for a day trip to see the serene waterfall, the highest in Wales, in all its glory or head to Llangollen to explore its history, and enjoy an array of eateries for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

With dramatic high ceilings and original features, the living area is bright and airy, giving a nod to its history. A roaring woodburner and three leather sofas make a great place to kick back and relax on cold winter evenings, with beautiful views through the doors. The kitchen/diner is well equipped with plenty of space to prepare a feast and serve it on the table set for seven guests. The two king-size bedrooms, tastefully decorated and complete with matching furniture, both have doors directly out to the garden. A further twin room and single bedroom complete the sleeping arrangements, with plenty of room for adults and kids to really make themselves at home during a stay. The property is served by a bathroom with a shower over the bath, and a walk in shower; great for refreshing after a long day out exploring.

In the garden, the enclosed patio provides awe-inspiring views out to the mountainous countryside. Spend evenings in the blissful hot tub or dining alfresco for ultimate relaxation. A separate, shared play area is also available to guests including a swing and a slide.

Cottage is lovely. Beds are fantastic size. Cosy living room and great sized kitchen. Easily fit 4 adults and 4 kids in. Lovely location. Our families loved watching the farming and we could see the cows in the shed from the living room. Really well stocked with everything you would need. Hot tub is fantastic. The cottage is all on one level, all bedrooms are spacious. The kitchen is well equipped, a bit of an awkward shape moving around the table from one end of the kitchen to the other. The living room is cosy. It is a lovely peaceful cottage with the odd view of cows and sheep.

Had a lovely stay for a week very comfortable well equipped property fabulous hot tub, owners very friendly and pleased to help in any way. Ideal if you are walkers or mountain bikers, or just want to chill out with stunning views all around. I would definitely recommend it to everyone and will be back myself for another week in the spring

We had a fabulous stay at this beautiful cottage in a spectacular location. The owners were very friendly and welcoming going above and beyond for us to ensure we had a great time. The cottage is spotlessly clean and decorated very nicely. It is one of the best we have stayed in. It is located on a working farm but there was no noise and my little Read moreboy loved looking at the cows and sheep. The hot tub is great to relax in after a day exploring- fab views. We would definitely return and 100% recommend. We were a party of 7 aged from 81 to 2 years and we all had a great time. I would like to thank Liz and Rhein for a great stay. We would also recommend the hands pub about 2 miles down the road for a really tasty meal. Hide

The cottage was extremely clean and well presented, Mrs Hughes welcomed us on arrival and was very friendly and chatty. The hot tub was one of the cleanest I have used, it was in an exceptional condition. The property was really well equipped, there was nothing we needed, the log fire was easy to use and clean, with logs provided. The property was absolutely amazing and being on a working farm was lovely (seeing all the animals roaming around), the rooms were well furnished (extra pillows, towels and blankets were a lovely added extra), the kitchen is well equipped with enough items to not need to wash up after every use and a table big enough for large meals or playing gameRead mores as a group, the hot tub was exceptionally clean and thankfully large enough for the 7 of us, the living room area was comfy and the log burner lovely on an evening. Fabulous property in a beautiful location. Everything you could possibly need within the accommodation. Cottage was very nice and the hot tub was lovely. There are a number of walks available from the cottage (our ages meant we did not walk these). The hosts who live and work on their farm onsite were pleasant and helpful. The road from the village was single track, with many twists and turns and so care and extra travel time is needed. You shoulRead mored expect to come across other users on this road, ranging from large farm vehicles, down to groups of dog walkers. The Hand Pub in Llanarmon DC has good reviews and we very much enjoyed the two meals we had there. Hide
