This impressive semi-detached cottages is within easy reach of the sandy beaches and surfing waves at Westward Ho!, Woolacombe and Saunton. You can hire bicycles and go for a romantic ride on the disused railway track, the Tarka Trail, stopping for a drink or bite to eat at one of the watering holes along the way. The property is also just three miles from the Atlantic Highway giving access to popular attraction of North Devon. The market towns of Bideford and Torrington, with their famous Pannier Markets, are also close by and offer good pubs, shops and restaurants. The villages of Monkleigh, Buckland Brewer and Littleham are also a short drive and offer good village pubs.

Enter this delightful rural retreat to find a cosy, open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner equipped with an electric oven and hob, fridge with ice compartment, microwave and washing machine. There is also underfloor heating and a wood burner, which makes the lounge area a cosy space for quiet evenings in the cottage. The lounge offers a TV/DVD, which you can enjoy from the comfortable sofa after enjoying a hearty home-cooked meal together around the dining table. Upstairs you’ll find the galleried king-size bedroom with CD/radio and an en-suite shower room with WC.

Outside of the property there is a pretty patio area with garden furniture and small private garden. Guests are welcome to enjoy and play on the farm after taking part in a range of farm activities including a guided tour from the farmer, feeding the calves and watching the cows being milked. There is also ample off-road parking for guest vehicles.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Wonderful welcome from the locals, everyone seems to welcome dogs and to carry dog biscuits, just in case! The cottage was cosy and perfect for a holiday. Theres plenty to do in Bideford; we particularly recommend the Burton gallery and the Ravilious exhibition (til June 2019). Les and Sue added touches we appreciated; fresh flowers, farm fresh milRead morek and some homemade shortbread! The Bell Inn was full charm, atmosphere and lovely people (all dogs welcome, again). We have stayed at many single bedroom cottages and this was the best so far. The family are lovely and seeing the cows milked and the calves fed was super. The cottage was lovely and warm and the water hot and plentiful. We hope to go back.

A lovely base for a holiday to Devon. You need to drive to get anywhere but we were driving to lots of different places anyway so didn't bother us. Would recommend Instow, Appledore, Braunton burrows, Woolacombe and Croyde. The Bell inn too. The cottage is small and cosy but the bedroom is big and the garden is ideal for the dog. Lovely cottage in a lovely area close to many dog friendly beaches and walks. Max the collie was lovely and greeted us every time we came back and he loved our 3 collie. The garden was a little small but enclosed. The bed was so comfy I slept so well and fresh milk was provided. Will definitely be going back again. A lovely cottage situated on a working dairy farm. The owners were very friendly and we were given raw milk and eggs from the farm as well as being shown the milking shed. Our dog was also welcomed and we were able to walk in the fields that didnt have cows and take in the gorgeous views.
