Sleeping four, this single-level bungalow is ideal for a small family or group of friends that love the great outdoors and exotic animals in particular. Situated at the edge of a family-run petting zoo, the location offers some unusual benefits as it home to pygmy goats, alpacas, llamas, wallabies, donkeys and Shetland ponies. The Park View Restaurant and Bar is on site and the property is also close to the quaint village of Chew Magna with its local pubs and restaurants which are within walking distance. Close by, you will also find Chew Valley Lake and Mendip Hills, both offering an array of outdoor pursuits and activities for the whole family to enjoy. The city of Bath is only a short drive away; it offers many museums and historical visitor attractions making it great destination for a day out.

Tastefully decorated throughout this bungalow accommodation, the open-plan living area is comprised of lounge, diner and kitchen. With ample comfortable seating, you can enjoy films on the TV whilst staying toasty on colder nights. The kitchen area comes complete with an electric oven and hob, fridge and a microwave. There is a sizeable dining table with seating for four guests, with an available high chair. Close by are the two bedrooms – both rooms contain twin zip and link beds that can be made into doubles on request. Both of the rooms have an en-suite shower room and WC for convenience.

Step outside and enjoy views from the patio area with outdoor furniture. Within the shared larger enclosed garden there is a fun outside play area for small children. Don’t forget to visit all the wonderful animals on-site which are a big hit with outgoing kids. There’s bound to be at least one creature in the menagerie that you’ve never encountered before.

Lovely stay at chew valley farm. Our daughter, 3 years old, loved seeing all the animals and to be able to walk round every morning as the animals were all having their breakfast was a bonus. Spotlessly clean and very pleasant and comfortable accommodation. Having the zoo and restaurant on site were huge bonuses! There is loads to do within 30-40 mins of the location, which is it's self in a lovely setting. We felt welcome and at home straight away. All nice and clean, warm, beds were comfy and showers great. It was lovely and quiet. Parking is outside the accommodation which is a bonus. The place is clean and tidy with on suite rooms kitchen/living room nice and spacious has easy access to all facilities on site. Superb location, great facilities and amazing views! Many lovely places and attractions to visit. Shop, cafe & restaurants/bars all 2min drive. Retail park 10min drive. Car essential, lots of narrow country lanes. We look forward to staying again, perfect for families, would definitely recommend.

The owners were very welcoming and super helpful. The location was perfect for our 8 mth and 2 year old little ones, they loved all the animals. The restaurant and bar were great, plenty of choice on the menu and the meals were very generous. Would highly recommend for families with very young children.

We couldnt fault any aspect of this lovely place. The accommodation was spotlessly clean, the animals were a delight and the food in the cafe/restaurant was excellent. We will certainly be going back for further visits.

If you like animals, you must stay at this property! There were camels at the bottom of the garden! We were able to wander around the animal park when we liked, so we could hang out with the goats and their kids, the wallabies and their joey, the ring tailed lemurs and many more, when no one else was around. Perfect place for a base with our 2 children (5 & 2), they loved the farm and having access outside of the normal opening hours was great! Gary and all his team on the farm were always helpful if we ever needed anything, food from the cafe was great and the pizza and pub on a Thursday and Friday night was delicious too!

This was our second booking at Chew Valley Animal Park and we were not disappointed. We totally relaxed in this little gem of a location. The facilities have expanded since our last visit with the addition of a bar and traditional clay pizza oven. What a superb and amazing place to stay. The cottage was comfortable and suited us perfectly, but the animal farm was fabulous. Step out on the patio and the views over the Farm are brilliant, and a few steps away to the private gate and a stroll around. A very clean and spacious property sufficient for holiday accommodation. However furniture could do with some improvements and additions to make it more acceptable for modern living. Steps down to lawn area in front of cottage could do with a ramp for pushchairs and wheelchairs for easier access.

I wish the place was nearer to home as I would be there all the time.It was amazing eating our tea outside and seeing camels at the bottom of the garden.I had an animal experience and got to feed quite a lot of animals.
