The popular seaside town of Ilfracombe is only five miles away from the cottage and has many shops, pubs and restaurants for visitors to discover. Surfers will love the golden sandy beaches at Woolacombe, Croyde and Saunton, whilst the rugged beauty of Exmoor is a must for hikers. This perfect family cottage is situated on a 20 acre farm and is 1 of 5 holiday properties on the complex and offers a unique holiday experience with so much to see and do off and on site!

This quaint cottage was part of the original medieval farmhouse and therefore retains exposed beams and other beautiful period details. As you enter the cottage you are welcomed into the cosy lounge benefitting from a TV, DVD player, Freeview and video player making the perfect place to snuggle up in the evenings while the wood burner crackles away (first basket of logs included). The country style kitchen/diner is equipped with an electric oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and washer/dryer ideally equipped to rustling up those family favourites. Everyone can gather around in the light and bright dining area which has a table seating up to six people. The bedrooms are accessed by a flight of cottage style stairs with one double bedroom and one bedroom with three single beds. The shower room features a double shower cubicle and WC can also be found on this floor.

Outside, there is a small private garden with seating. Why not buy a disposable BBQ (can be purchased on site) and spend the evening eating alfresco?

Onsite activities

-Meet the farm animals, (many of which are rescue animals), such as horses, alpacas, pigs, donkeys, rabbits, chickens, guinea pigs and ducks. This holiday offers a unique chance to let children enjoy nature in a farm -setting, thanks to the toddler friendly pets corner with pond dipping and animal handling.

- Indoor play barn (shared) with pool table, table tennis and other games, perfect for those with a competitive streak.

-Library that is well stocked with books, children's toys and videos for everyone to enjoy.

-Outside play area with swings and slide.

Great stay at Dune cottage very handy for all of the north Devon area. Clean tidy and well equipped, would stay there again and recommend if your looking for a nice quiet place to stay in this area

The cottage was rustic, clean, comfortable, spacious and warm. It was lovely to have a log burner, which we don't have at home. Arriving to find tea/coffee and biscuits, with fresh milk in the fridge was appreciated. Our children loved being able to go in with the animals at any time of day and spent hours with them. They especially loved the donkeRead moreys. They also loved the trampoline and the games room (although the games room would benefit from a re-fresh/update). We appreciated being given some fish food to feed the fish in the pond. The best part of the experience was walking down to the magical stream, where our children spent hours playing. It was great to find the old (and rather dilapidated) picnic table near the stream - where we could sit in the sun with drinks while the kids played. It was good to be within an easy drive of Woolacombe with it's fantastic beach, and Barricane beach which was a wonderful place. Overall, we had a fantastic time, and were very pleased to find a cottage which was affordable, good value for money and offered so much. Thank you. Hide

Great little cottage, perfect if you have dogs. Nice field to walk in and close to local beaches. Very cosy, great little base to have to explore the local area.

We had a great stay in west cottage, it was lovely and peaceful. The children enjoyed feeding the animals, they also had fun on the trampoline and th the playground which was onsite. Everyone slept well. We were also in good distance to some top Devon attractions like The Big Sheep, Watermouth Castle and close to the Ilfracombe and Woolacombe (whicRead moreh has a lovely beech).
