This area is a great base for visiting the Northern Lakes and Fells, and there are some great walks and bike routes to explore from the door. Walk to Ullswater and take a trip on one of the steamers, or visit the beautiful Aira Force waterfalls. Enjoy paddleboarding or book horse trekking, or for something a bit different, why not go alpaca walking?
This pretty, well-equipped shepherd’s hut offers a great open-plan space with a raised double bed, wall-mounted Smart TV, dining area and French doors looking out over the fells. The cute bijou kitchen area is perfectly equipped for rustling up a nice breakfast or romantic dinner, with a Belfast sink, microwave, two-ring hob and fridge/freezer. Heading outside, you will find a private seating area and hot tub to the front of the property overlooking the fells, which is just the place for reading a good book or enjoying dinner cooked on the BBQ then followed by an evening in front of the fire pit. There is private parking for one car. Just over a mile away, in Patterdale, you will find local pubs and restaurants.
