This property is located on the owners farm in the village of Killinghall in North Yorkshire, within walking distance of two welcoming village pubs and just 1 mile south of the historic village of Ripley with its impressive 700-year old castle. To the south of the village, the beautiful spa town of Harrogate is home to a fantastic array of shops, as well as the famous Turkish Baths and the popular Bettys Tearoom which serves one of the countrys best-loved afternoon teas. There is plenty more to see and do within easy driving distance of the village, including the market town of Knaresborough, RHS Harlow Carr, Ripon Cathedral and Fountains Abbey.
On arrival at this stone cottage, which was formerly part of the main farmhouse, guests will first come to a spacious hallway, beyond which the lounge has a range of comfortable seating, a warming open fire, a TV/DVD, and a fun Nintendo Wii games console. The kitchen/diner, meanwhile, is a well-equipped room offering a farmhouse-style dining table as well as an oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, and dishwasher. The cottages hosts three bedrooms, the first of which is a quiet single room which is located on the half landing. To the first floor is the sunny king-size master bedroom, the second bedroom is a twin room which has the option to be made up as super king-size room (must be stated at the time of booking) . For larger parties of up to seven guests, two fold-out single beds are available on request, at an additional charge. The bathroom which is also on the first floor, offers a shower-over-bath and WC.
To the rear of the property, guests will find a private patio are with seating. Guests also have access to shared enclosed lawn garden with far-reaching views over the surrounding countryside. Garden furniture is provided, and guests are welcome to bring their own BBQs. There is added benefit of an on-site cook shop, open Tuesday to Saturday afternoons. There is off-road parking for 2- 3 cars available.
