From is charming property you’ll be within easy reach of the North Devon coastline with its popular sandy beaches and sheltered coves. Woolacombe offers a long sandy expanse perfect for surfers and bucket and spade days. The Victorian fishing town of Ilfracombe offers a range of activities for visitors including finishing trips, day trips to Lundy, theatre, marine aquarium, shops, pubs, restaurants and galleries. Nearby Barnstaple also has plenty to offer such as leisure facilities and a cinema. Other attractions include National Trust’s Arlington Court, Broomhill Arts and Sculpture Gardens, Marwood Hill Gardens, Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park and Watermouth Castle. You can also walk from the property to the nearby pub for a bite to eat.

Step through the front door into a beautiful and welcoming 20’ oak floored grand entrance hallway, which is packed with original charm. Much of this comes from the original farm shafting used to drive equipment that was formerly pulled by the horses in the roundhouse. There is also a dining room table with seating for eight people. The large lounge offers plenty of charm with vaulted beamed ceilings and spectacular countryside views through the floor to ceiling, windows and doors. The lounge is equipped with an oil-fired effect wood burner set into a large stone fireplace, and TV/DVD. There is also a super-king size room on the ground floor, which features a zip-and-link double that can be made up as a twin on request. This floor also has a family bathroom with a bath and separate shower and WC. From the entrance hall, there are two staircases heading up to the rest of the bedrooms. From the first wooden open tread staircase, you’ll find the delightful king-size bedroom with en-suite shower and bathroom with WC and the second open tread staircase you will find a twin bedroom with en-suite shower and WC. All three bedrooms are appointed with their own TVs for extra luxury.

Step outside and you’ll be surrounded by beautiful countryside views in every direction. You’ll have use of the garden with a patio and seating and a charcoal BBQ. During your stay, make sure you take a stroll through the woodland and bluebell walk.

We stayed at the roundhouse during August while having exceptional weather but there is no doubt even if the weather was less favourable we still would of enjoyed every minute of our stay. The cottage was well laid out, very comfortable with a well equipped kitchen. The views are stunning along with the peace and quiet of the country. David and ChaRead morermaine are the perfect hosts and we were treated to a farm tour which we found fascinating. We would recommend this cottage to any one! Hide
