This pretty cottage sits attached to the owner’s farmhouse in the heart of the Devon countryside. The nearby village of Chulmleigh is a delight with its shops, pubs, riding stables and golf course just a short distance away. Further afield are the sandy beaches of Saunton and Woolacombe. Or enjoy the splendour of Dartmoor and Exmoor. Other attractions include RHS Rosemoor Gardens and the Cobbaton Combat Museum. For outdoor enthusiasts there are plenty of walking and cycling opportunities why not hire bikes or take a ride on part of the pretty Tarka trail. There is a local rail line providing easy access to both Barnstaple and Exeter.

Entering the cottage you are greeted by the warm and welcoming kitchen/diner with wooden floor and exposed beams. It is well-equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher and fridge. Walking on through to the lounge which has a wood burner, Smart TV and comfy seating, this is the perfect place to relax after a busy day out. Five steps lead up to a half landing area offering rear access and storage for wellies, boots, and coats. A utility area can also be found on this level with a washing machine and WC. Heading up the wooden staircase from the kitchen/diner leads to the two spacious bedrooms both having exposed beams and country views, the first is a king-size with en-suite shower room with shower and WC and a bunk room with en-suite shower room with shower and WC.

Stepping outside there is a private patio with garden furniture. A walk across the meadow is a fenced wildlife pond with cosy shelter. There is off-road parking for two cars.

We had a great stay, came away very relaxed and rested, even with a poorly child (not due to the holiday cottage ;D) The kids loved the play area, the meadow and the pond. Will definitely be returning for future stays.

A fantastic family run cottage, set in the beautiful small holding farm that was great to explore and have fun for all the family, Nikki was super helpful and welcoming when we arrived.
