An irresistible countryside hideaway located half a mile along a farm track, the cottage is just a short drive to the historic market town of Alnwick and ideally placed for exploring all the sites and local experiences, this beautiful county has to offer. At this exceptional location you can enjoy stunning country walks and bike rides right from the doorstep and at night, you can star gaze with no artificial light to hamper the evening view! You have the unusual advantage of being able to see as far as the Cheviot Hills on one side of the property and towards the Northumberland coast on the other, including Beadnell village and even the Farne Islands. Enjoy a day exploring The Alnwick Garden and Castle and you must experience Barter Books, the shops, restaurants and pubs in the town too. There are plenty of wonderful places to spend time in this area, including walking in the Cheviot Hills, visiting the pretty harbour village of Craster, where you can take the coastal walk to Dunstanburgh Castle and Bamburgh with its magnificent castle and beach, bustling Seahouses harbour, beautiful Beadnell Bay and of course, Holy Island plus, a boat trip out to the Farne Islands is a great adventure for everyone during your stay.

Access to the cottage is via the attractive stone-built entrance on the east side of the property, which is adjoined to the original neighbouring house, built in 1800. You come into a spacious fully tiled boot room with plenty of seating and coat hooks where you can leave your outdoor gear and there is a separate WC. A door on the left leads into the main, open plan living area providing a fantastic entertainment space for families and groups to relax and socialise. There are two comfortable sofas and a large armchair, positioned around the feature fireplace with a cosy wood burner and a Smart TV. The light and airy, open plan shaker style kitchen includes an electric double oven and hob, dishwasher, washer/dryer, fridge with ice compartment, counter top freezer  and wine cooler. The standout feature to this room is the dining area situated in the large walk-in bay window with window seats and underfloor heating. You can enjoy memorable meals in together and breath-taking view across open countryside towards the coastline beyond. At the far end of the room, stairs lead you up to the three bedrooms, all with their own ensuite facilities and unsurpassed views of some of Northumberland most famous attractions, including the Farne Islands, Beadnell, Seahouses and to the West, the Cheviot Hills. The first bedroom has a king-size bed and a contemporary ensuite shower room and WC, the second bedroom has two single beds with an ensuite bathroom with a mixer shower over the bath and WC and the third bedroom, has both a king-size bed and a beautifully finished ensuite shower room and WC.

Outside, there are two separate stone flagged enclosed patio areas; both with seating where guests can enjoy both morning and evening sunshine. See the lambs in springtime who like to come over and say ‘hello’ to their holidaying neighbours. There is plenty of off-road parking for up to three cars in the large secure gravelled area.

The farm track leading to the property is perfectly navigable for the vast majority of vehicles with the possible exception of low sports cars.
