Attractions nearby to suit all tastes which include Tamar Otter Park, Launceston Steam Railway, Bude Canal and Splashpool, Roadford Reservoir, The Eden Project and Trethorne Leisure Farm.

On entering this delightful property, to your left you have ample space for coats and shoes. Following on, you enter the beautifully designed open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. The lounge area boasts spectacular countryside views, a Smart TV and French doors which lead out to the enclosed rear garden. The well-equipped kitchen features an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, washing machine and dishwasher. Eating in is a pleasure, with French doors opening onto the enclosed garden. Leading back down the hallway, you have two beautifully dressed bedrooms, one double and one twin both with built in wardrobes and dressers. You will also find the main bathroom with shower over bath and WC.

Venture outside, where you will find a large enclosed rear garden which has spectacular views across the rolling countryside. As well as a charcoal BBQ and garden furniture. Two parking spaces are available outside the front of the property.

Just returned from our stay at the Old Shippon, what a beautiful place in a beautiful location. Everything you could possibly need is provided and the cottage is warm and cosy. The location is peaceful and quiet but close enough to Launceston for when you need to shop etc. We visited a different beach most days as they were within reach on both coaRead morests. Our son and dog loved the open space. Elaine was a truly lovely host who made us feel very welcome. I would highly recommend and hope to go back! Hide

This property was perfect for us. Dog friendly, no stairs to have to chase a toddler up and in the middle of nowhere so very peaceful. A fully equipped kitchen, we couldnt think of anything missing! Very clean and more importantly, beautiful views! Elaine was also very welcoming. Our only feedback would be a larger bed in the master bedroom as it wRead moreas really small even before the toddler came in and if you prefer a bath sheet, take one with you. We had a great welcome and a lovely array of cakes. Very quiet and peaceful spot which what we were after. The cottage had all we needed and very spacious for 2 adults, one child and our dog. Only 20 mins in the car to the beach, which there are several within that distance. Easy to cook on site as it had all the amenities. Great property, clean, comfortable and and all the mod cons needed. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for some good chill out time and peace and quiet! Our dog loved the smells and sites on the farm! The home baked cakes and scones that were waiting for us were a great touch and very tasty!

Fantastic cottage. So much thought has gone into making it a perfect holiday home. Lovely warm welcome from the owner along with a delicious cream tea, which is very welcoming after a long journey, also milk in the fridge and tea and coffee. What more could you ask for. Definitely 5 stars!!!

Lovely place to stay (area and accommodation), very private, lovely and quiet. Wifi works well. Very clean, everything you need. Great views. Owner very friendly and helpful. Wonderful supply of cakes on arrival to include a delicious homemade chocolate cake! Plenty of space for car. Launceston worth a visit. Views from castle brilliant.
