Rural property perfect for a couple’s retreat in a stunning rural location just three miles from the beach and village of Heartland.

This barn-conversion cottage enjoys a tranquil rural location with access to footpaths leading to beautiful coastal and clifftop walks. The nearest shops and pubs can be found in the Georgian village of Hartland which is three miles away, and is also home to Hartland Abbey, which was originally built as a monastery in the 12th century. Visitors will enjoy the pretty walled gardens, woodland and parkland. A little further afield, there is plenty to see and do, no matter what your interests, from the large beach at Westward Ho! to the Milky Way Adventure and King Arthur’s Tintagel. This cottage is one of two at this farmland location and offers single-storey accommodation. The open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner is the main living area of the property and offers a relaxing space in which to spend time after a busy day of sightseeing. Guests will find a comfortable sofa, TV and DVD and French windows which lead out onto the enclosed garden. The kitchen area is tastefully decorated in a country style and is equipped with an oven, electric hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, and washer/dryer. The property’s bedroom is a relaxing and homely double room with a TV/DVD. It is possible to have an extra cot-bed made up on request, which would be suitable for a child under the age of five. The property’s bathroom has a shower-over-bath and WC. Outside, there is an exclusive patio with wonderful views across the countryside and glimpses of the sea in the distance. There is a table and chairs, and a BBQ, making this a great place to enjoy alfresco meals during the warmer months. Guests are also able to explore the farm’s 260 acres of land and to meet some of the resident animals. There is ample parking available. Guests may bring one dog on request, for which there is an additional charge.

Dogs fees are charged per dog at £20.00 for up to 7 nights, £40.00 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20.00 for every week or part week thereafter.

A lovely holiday base with all 'mod-cons' included. It's a superb location reached by travelling over moorland to the accomodation. The owner's were hard at work most of the time but always happy to help out with local knowledge and advice when required. We're happy to recommend this wonderful holiday home which is a credit to the owner's.

We had a great time. Despite some adverse weather, easy access to lots of lovely costal villages! The cottage itself was perfect for taking our dog with us everything you need all on one floor. The owners bent over backwards to make our stay special for my boyfriends birthday! Thanks for a lovely holiday!

The cottage was out in the countryside with beautiful views of the sea and fields. The accommodation was so comfortable and cosy, very clean and tidy with everything you need. There was a welcome package with information on the surrounding area of things to do and see, we went on a couple of the cliff top walks that people had recommended in the viRead moresitors book . A peaceful location in a comfortable, well thought out converted barn. Spacious and cosy. Friendly farming family owners. A joy to visit the animals in the barn and pick blackberries. Good to have some private outdoor space and dark skies for star-gazing and the occasional view of a lighthouse flashing in the distance. You really can see the sea frRead moreom the back door steps!
