Inside, the accommodation is spacious and open plan. As you enter the property, walk into the kitchen area, which is contemporary and bright with high vaulted ceilings above. Here you will find an integrated oven and hob, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave and fridge/freezer. Continue through to the lounge/diner, which features wooden floors, brick-lined arched windows and patio doors opening out to the garden. Enjoy meals at the dining table before unwinding on the reclining leather suite while making the most of the TV/DVD with Freeview. The stunning king-size bedroom is located on a galleried level above, offering fantastic lake views through large French windows, which open onto a glass balcony. There is a wall mounted TV in the bedroom and an en-suite bathroom with shower over bath and WC.

Step through the French doors from the lounge to enjoy the shared garden with seating and a BBQ, perfect for summer evening meals or long afternoons overlooking the lake and countryside beyond. The lakes can be used for fishing and there is ample parking available.

The cottage was very clean and comfortable. It is a detached property so offers peace and quiet. The view of the lake is lovely, even in the rain. The cottage itself is a decent size so there was plenty of room for the two of us plus our dog. We booked this cottage for the last wk in Jan. We chose The Boat House for its nearness to the lake but as the lake was weeded up hubby had to walk to the other side of the lake to fish. The property itself is in need of updating. The bathroom was good and there are plenty of pots and cutlery.

In view of the point above this is difficult to do. Similarly, the recommend below is difficult because the property is lovely and in a superb location, but the flies were a significant distraction.

Good location as central to many places. Wandering round the lakes was a lovely start to the day. Unfortunately the weather wasn't in our favour but I can imagine sitting on the balcony would be lovely.

Property is as described, no WiFi signal in the boat house which the owner informed me on arrival, owners very flexible regarding arrival. Property is within 1 hours drive to most attractions (st ives 1.5 hours). Good value for money overall

This is the second time we have stayed at the Boat House Callington and enjoyed it just as much if not more than the first time ten years ago. It was peaceful and calm and stress free but close enough to plenty of things to see and do. A bonus for us is that it is pet friendly so Barney had a good time too! Thank you once again and we will be back!

no shop/pub etc within safe walking distance, transport a must to enable visits to locations and amenities, dog friendly but restricted walking distance?we have been numerous times and will visit again>
