Head towards the north coast and you will discover the coastline is populated with must see destinations including ever popular Padstow, a must for all seafood lovers and home of Rick Stein’s famed restaurant and the picture postcard Port Isaac. There are also some fabulous expansive beaches on offer at Bude and Crackington Haven. The unspoilt south coast of Cornwall is also accessible from here and boasts an array of scenic coves and picturesque fishing villages to enjoy, such as Mevagissey, Looe and Polperro. Other attractions and places of interest include Dartmoor National Park, Bodmin Moor, The Eden Project, Tamar Otter Park and Wildwood, the Camel Trail, and Launceston Steam Railway.

On entering this single-storey barn conversion, you will firstly find yourself in a spacious, light and bright lounge/kitchen/diner with a vaulted ceiling and lovely original beams. This large room provides a great flexible space for families to eat, rest and play, boasts a Smart TV and fabulous views of the countryside. The kitchen area is well-equipped and offers an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washer/dryer. The rest of the accommodation is arranged on the same level, making this a great property for all ages and comprises of three beautiful bedrooms. These consist of a super-king-size zip-and-link (which can be made into a twin on request) with TV and en-suite Jack and Jill bathroom with a shower over bath and WC, (this can be accessed separately via the hallway). There is also two king-size bedrooms with an en-suite shower and WC.

Heading outside to a large enclosed patio area with garden furniture and charcoal BBQ which is provided, allowing you to make the most of this stunning location. There’s also a large garden area shared with the other properties and a play area for children where they can have fun on the trampoline. A shared on-site utility room is provided which offers washing machines, tumble dryers and an additional fridge/freezer. There is ample private off-road parking provided directly outside too.

Returned to this property after a 6 year gap and just as good as before. Lovely to be on a working farm watching the animals in the field (no smells). Remote enough to only hear birds and sheep but only 5 mins from the A30 (which you can't see or hear). High spec accommodation with everything you need and 3 separate bathrooms a bonus. A great base Read moreto explore the North coast within 45 min drive, and same down to St Austell in South. Launceston is worth a day of mooching about with lovely cafes. Hide

Lovely cottage with everything you could want or need. Will definitely go again later in year. Had some stunning sunrise and some visits from local cat. Was a home from home. Had great scones and jam and cream left for us.

Lovely bungalow barn conversion based in a peaceful farm environment. Spacious with plenty of area to entertain or relax. Well appointed with top-notch equipment, and a greeting of young sparrows as you approach the front door in the nest in the eaves. We had a lovely week at shorthorn barn. The property was really spacious and comfortable. The little touches like scones, jam and clotted cream on arrival were well received, and the doggie tray with towels, treats etc was fab. Short Horn Barn was lovely, peaceful, very well equipped and comfortable. WiFi worked well and all appliances were in good working order. Well located for exploring all of Cornwall. Lovely garden centre just up the road for great breakfasts and lunches. Peking Chef in Launceston delivers, Eliot Arms does great food (portions are huge) and The RisinRead moreg Sun does fabulous food, not the cheapest, but well worth it. The barn was excellent it had everything we needed. Room sizes excellent, furniture stylish and luxurious. Such a solid build which was very reassuring during the storm. With just one step into the single level barn this was perfect for our party member who has limited mobility. Big bath in main bathroom and 2 wet room showers gave us plenty of optRead moreions and outside electricity point meant we could charge the mobility scooter without having to trail leads into house. Weve stayed before. We liked having our own en suites. The barn is located in a nice area - pleasant walk into Launceston & if you fancy a coffee and nibble walk up to the garden centre up the road! Lisa very friendly & helpful.

The Cottage itself was lovely but being a wheelchair user was not excessable via front or back door as there were steps also had gravel drive which is very difficult to manage being an independant wheelchair user. They supply short ramps but unless you have help you cannot mange on your own
