There are also plenty of excellent local family pubs within easy reach serving good bar meals. This attractive and welcoming single-storey property is situated within the grounds of the owners’ home, where a warm welcome awaits and privacy is assured. On entering, you will find yourself in the bright and spacious open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. The tastefully furnished lounge is an ideal space for relaxation, with comfy seating, a traditional wood burner, TV and DVD. You will find a charming dining area, and the stylishly designed kitchen is fully equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher and fridge with ice compartment. The metered washing machine and tumble dryer are housed in a utility room which is shared with the other on-site properties. Exploring this beautiful ground-floor property further you will find two comfortable bedrooms. There’s a comfy king-size room and a cosy twin room. You will also find a bathroom complete with bath, separate shower and WC. Stepping outside, you can relax on the enclosed patio with seating. A selection of outdoor games and a BBQ are available on request. You are also welcome to share and explore the 6 acres of land which are home to chickens and, occasionally, cows and sheep.

We had a great time, warm, cosy and the barn has all the facilities you need. The host was fab and spoke with us on arrival. The location is great, on top of the Exmoor National Park and close to the sea. Dog friendly which was perfect for our golden retriever. Thank you, super stay.

Really enjoyed our stay, the cottage is one of the best we have stayed in. Decor - clean, modern and bright with great attention to detail. Part of a group of conected cottages its very private with its own courtyard and lovely views dogs loved that there was lots of space for their morning and evening walks right from the front door. Just enjoyed a lovely relaxing stay at Hillside. The property is very comfortable and well presented and equipped. Lovely, well equipped property. Nice log burner well stocked with firewood. Plenty of space for us and 2 dogs. Nice walking around the pond even in January. Close to coast and Exmoor.

Absolutely loved the cottage - 1 of the nicest Ive stayed in. Courtyard is totally enclosed so was very safe for my 2 small dogs & they loved exploring round the pound. No phone signal but Wifi worked really well so not a problem for me. Would definitely return if I head that way again.

Highly recommended, owners in site but leave you to enjoy their superb cottages and surrounding grounds. Very well sited for access to all of Somerset and minutes from nearest beach.. we loved it, a week was not long enough so we'll have to go back..

This is a beautiful cottage in a stunning location. Inside is spotlessly clean and the interior is decorated stylishly and to a high standard. We felt very comfortable there and there was plenty of space for 2 adults, 2 teenagers and a dog. Having the use of the garden and field to walk the dog was great as it meant we didn't have to rush off somewRead morehere for a morning walk. The owners were nearby and friendly but not intrusive. Beautiful little cottage in the heart of Exmoor on a small but immaculate little farm . Very clean and modern and had everything we needed. Great WIFI which was a real help as the phone signals due to the remoteness were non-existent. Very secluded and quiet which was lovely for a week. Having stayed in many of these properties down the years we can confidently say this is probably the best of the lot. Its a lovely characterful well equipped property set in an attractive gardens with a pond. There are varied fantastic places to visit and some great places to eat. For us the weather was pretty good which enhanced our trip. The owneRead morers were discreet but we knew they were there if needed, which personally we like. Spotlessly clean cottage, great location, couldn't find a bit I didn't like. Great for star gazing, hiking. Lovely gardens all well looked after. Some great walks from the farm. We all had a wonderful holiday.

Lovely, clean cottage in a fabulous secluded spot yet not far from towns & villages. On arrival I thought the decoration & space much more attractive than in the photos! Our dogs loved the quiet & fresh air- as did we! Well equipped & would definitely reccomend.

We have had the best time the cottage felt very homely although a sort drive from most things we found it very easy to go out and about. We all feel very refreshed and would 100% recommend Thankyou!

Old Holcombe Hillside is a lovely cottage, well located on the edge of Exmoor and the owners have taken the time and effort to decorate and finish to an excellent standard. The cottage is lovely, very well equipped, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The grounds are lovely, very well kept and the location is very peaceful. There is a lovely pub close by in Raleghs Cross if you want to eat out and a number of places nearby to visit.

Fantastic place to stay, very quiet, nice and secluded, great scenery, no fuss, everything we needed was there to be used already. My kids loved to visit the chickens and sitting/exploring around the beautiful pond and gardens. I would definitely come back here again and would recommend to anyone.

The accomadation and the setting were wonderful. Everything we could want in the cottage was provided and with style, a home from home. The garden and landscaping were so pretty and restful. Nature on our doorstep. If you want peace and quiet, it's the place to go. We loved it.

This is a lovely place, tastefully decorated and well equipped. The owners are very friendly and have thought of everything (it's the little touches that make a difference - eggs, milk, tea, coffee, towels, etc) Property is somewhat remote so if you're looking to get away from it all then this is just perfect. This property has all the attributes needed for a happy holiday. It has space, a private garden, good clean equipment and is easy to maintain being on one level. There are views to the charming lake and seats to sit around it. The local pub is about a mile up the road and all the visitor attractions in the area are in easy reach.
