Found in a quiet and attractive part of Kernow with rolling countryside and farmland, a craggy coastline and fast rivers. The property enjoys some panoramic views over fields to the ocean from the first-floor windows. The situation is perfect for exploring Cornwall and North Devon; taking in the many sandy family beaches including Widemouth Bay (ideal for surfing), which is less than 3 miles by car. You will also be close to the many attractions which include the Bude sea lock and canal, Hartland Quay, the Eden Project, Clovelly Village, Dartmoor, Bodmin Moor and much more. The area is well-known for its fantastic walks namely the South West Coast Path. It’s easy to see why so many fall in love with North Cornwall.

This former barn retains much of the original charm, incorporating some features into its layout. On arrival, you will enter the open plan living area with access to two of the bedrooms; one double and one twin. The third bedroom is accessed via an open-tread staircase from the ground floor. This attractive galleried double is curtained off from the staircase. On the ground floor is an open-plan social area that includes a lounge, dining area and a kitchen. There is also a bathroom containing a shower over bath with WC. The lounge area centres around a TV with a Now TV box and a wood burner to unwind at the end of a day’s touring in front of. Wood is supplied (one basket) between October and April. The kitchen area comes equipped with an oven and hob, a fridge freezer, a microwave, and a dishwasher. Laundry facilities are available by arrangement. The property also has a sunroom with seating, giving access to both the patio and the shared gardens.

Step outside the property into the shared garden, where the property has its own picnic table and a handy BBQ too. For children, there is a shared outdoor play area, and guests are encouraged to the explore the grounds.

We used the cottsge/barn conversion as a base for the week and found most places we wanted to go to within easy reach as it's on the main Atlanic Highway linking North Devon and Cornwall

Beautiful, comfy cottage ideally located to access the local area. Gill, the owner gives a very warm welcome. Lots of outdoor space for dogs/ children to run around. The garden is not overly secure from the road so dogs/ children would need to be properly supervised. Overall, this was a lovely place to stay and would definitely recommend and stay aRead moregain. This is a great house in the summer for a family of kids, parents and grandparents as it offers space and versatility. It was very well located to black rock and Bude. It is near to a main road, which was a little noisy in the morning, but this didnt bother us. The garden was very secure for the kids and dogs. Cottage was perfectly located and ideal for travel around North Cornwall. Could do with a lick of paint and some TLC inside. Security could be improved for children and dogs. All in all a good 3/5 and we would stay again, but wouldn't pay the same amount.

Lovely cottage in a nice setting. Nice play area for children and safe with the gate shut. The cottage had everything you could need. Gill was very helpful but not intrusive.
