  • Stylish converted barn situated on a family-run farm with garden with private hot tub for memorable evenings under the stars

  • Can be linked to adjacent property to create a larger property sleeping eight guests
  • Fantastic location between Ilfracombe and Combe Martin, in reach of Exmoor
Property code: 43640

This property is one of two barn conversions situated on the owner’s working farm, just a mile from the local beach at Sandy Bay, which extends round to the pretty seaside village of Combe Martin, with its five pubs, fish and chip shop, and ice cream parlour. Also within only a few miles of the property are plenty of family-friendly attractions including Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park, the theme park at Watermouth Castle, and the popular resort town of Ilfracombe. This former-barn has been lovingly converted to create an attractive holiday property with an elegant minimalist style, with the kind of attention to detail guests may expect to find in an upmarket hotel.

On the ground floor, the spacious lounge/diner is a relaxing space in which to unwind, with its exposed brick, comfortable sofas, dining table, TV/DVD, wood burner, and French windows leading out to the garden. Walking through the dining area guests come to the contemporary kitchen which is equipped with an oven. hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, and washing machine. Like the lounge, the kitchen also has doors which lead out to the enclosed garden. Open-tread wooden stairs lead to the first-floor accommodation, including the four bedrooms. The first of these is a chic master bedroom suite, with a king-size bed, TV/DVD, and an en-suite shower room with a bath, separate shower cubicle, and WC. Further to this, there is another king-size room and two pretty, single rooms, all of which are decorated to the same high-standards as the ground-floor rooms. The main bathroom, also on the first floor, has a bath with hand-held shower and WC. Guests should note, that due to the property’s former life as a barn, the upstairs rooms all have some restricted head height and sloping ceilings. Outside, there is an enclosed garden, with a patioed sun terrace, lawn, and a private hot tub. The garden is equipped with table, chairs, a BBQ, and sun loungers, making it the perfect place to relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.

  • 4 bedrooms: 2 king-size and 2 singles
  • Bathroom with bath, hand-held shower, and WC
  • Private off road parking
  • En-suite bathroom, with bath, separate shower, and WC to the master bedroom
  • TV/DVD, plus additional set in the master bedroom

Lovely barn conversion which had everything we needed for a family of 4 and the dog and the in laws. Perfect place to stay, the village is lovely too and has a couple of pubs to have a drink and eat, kids play area and exercise field for the dog to enjoy. Close to Combe Martin and Ilfracombe too.

The Barn couldn't have been more perfect. It was clean, comfortably furnished & well equipped. Beautiful, modern & most important immaculately clean. The hot tub was fantastic as was the log fire (with a complementary basket of logs) It is a working farm so you do hear the odd cow mooing & the chickens clucking but we loved that. I cant complement it enough. 5 Star rating from me.
