Perfect location for a peaceful retreat. Hosts were very helpful and accommodating for our Christmas stay. The cottage was very clean and well equipped. Lovely views from the property and walks with the dog in the immediate area (as well as amazing Peak walks). We took advantage of one of the adjoining cottages for friends which was also perfect.

Lovely cottage, beautiful scenery from cottage and around farm. So peaceful. Had everything we needed in the cottage for our stay. Was clean and tidy. Ideal location to go off exploring the area. Would definitely stay here again. Lovely views from the cottage. Central location perfect for touring the Peak District and not far from Alton Towers. Cottage clean and tidy with a nice seating area outside.

Idyllic location, very quiet, enjoyed watching lambs in the field. Cottage looked small from outside but was a good size. Beds were comfortable and plenty of space for clothes. Great hot water / water pressed. Plenty of crockery, cutlery, cooking equipment for family of 6. WiFi was terrible and with poor phone reception in this area.

We really enjoyed our stay at Meadow Cottage. The family were in the midst of lambing season but still made us feel very welcome and at home. Its a busy farm and we liked that. The location was perfect. The farm is situated between Buxton and Bakewell off the A6 (but you cant see or hear the road), and its a relatively short walk down to the MonsalRead more trail and Chee Dale. The views across the surrounding countryside were fantastic. Like being on top of the world. Thanks for a great holiday! Hide

Lovely stay at a beautiful cottage. Stayed here with family over Christmas, owners made it festive inside and greeted us on arrival. So much better value than alternatives found on air bnb. Great quiet location and the dogs loved it.

Location was great, so handy for what we wanted to do and the monsal trail. It was unusually hot for this country, the downstairs bedrooms were nice and cool, but upstairs was hot. Recommend the wood upto Solomons Tower, and the cafe at the car park. Found great sushi and chinese restaurants in Buxton. If you want to hire a bike for the monsal traiRead morel walk down the path opposite the farm entrance, but get there early as they go quickly. Hide

A lovely clean and cosy cottage, which is very well located for walking. Considering that our stay was in the middle of 'lambing season' the hosts were very attentive and hospitable.
