Visit nearby Trebarwith Strand, which has lifeguards during the summer season, a surf school and is pet friendly. From here step out on the South West Coast Path and take in the glorious views of the north coast on the route. Also close by is the medieval village of Tintagel, home to Tintagel Castle whose craggy ruins are steeped in myths and legends and where you can walk over the stunning new 60-meter bridge set between two cliffs – one of the most spectacular historic sites in Britain. Nearby, seek out the picture-postcard fishing village of Boscastle. In addition, and just slightly further afield, the coastal villages of Port Isaac, where TV’s Doc Martin is filmed, Padstow, Rock, are all well worth a visit and a haven for foodies.

On entering this fabulous property and due to the unique reverse-level arrangement you will firstly find the delightfully cosy bedrooms. Each bedroom boasts stunning painted antique-style furniture and the first is a lovely Super king-size bedroom with a TV, en-suite shower room with walk in shower and WC. In addition to this is another beautifully presented King-size bedroom, with a TV and door to the garden, plus a cosy twin bedroom. Completing the offering on the ground floor is a family bathroom with a shower over bath and WC. Heading up the stairs and on to the first floor, you will find that the accommodation opens into an impressive open-plan kitchen/diner with a stunning vaulted ceiling and exposed beams. There is also a stable door leading to steps down to the garden, meaning that you can enjoy dining outside with ease when the weather permits. The kitchen itself is appointed with a great range of appliances including an electric Range-style oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. Located just off this space you will also find a lovely contemporary shower room with shower and WC. The final room inside the property is the warm and welcoming lounge, and here the vaulted ceiling and exposed beams continue. In this room, you will also find comfortable leather sofas arranged around a Smart TV and wood burner, plus a set of French doors which open onto a Juliet balcony meaning you can enjoy the fresh countryside air whilst relaxing.

Located to the side and rear of the property further highlights await in the shape of the fabulous outside space. This comprises a generously proportioned enclosed garden with a lawn, patio area, garden furniture, BBQ. and hot tub-please no sandy toes. Private off-road parking for three cars is also provided.

So good we went there twice! Lavender Cottage is lovely, so big and spacious. It has everything you need and is in a really good location. Ample parking. Felt really safe there. The cottage was lovely, very clean and comfortable. Everything was kept in very good order and the facilities were very good. The cottage is a short drive from Camelford in a quiet location.

Beautiful cottage, with great facilities. The beer on arrival was very welcome. The response from the owners, when we had an issue with the heating was superb, we will definitely be back.

The property (3 bedroom Lavender Cottage) was absolutely stunning. Spotlessly clean, spacious and all the facilities you would need. The hot tub was an added bonus and also cleaned thoroughly as they empty it between each lot of guests. The location was great as a hub for visiting many places in the area and beyond. Stayed in beautiful and spacious Lavender cottage and had A great time. The location of the cottages on a farm was very peaceful and views across fields lovely. Hot tub excellent. Owners own Tintagel brewery 3 mins drive away, the food was amazing and best meals of the holiday. Best beaches we found were Sandymouth, and Watergate Bay. Was also adviRead moresed to go to Crackington but ran out of time. Happy to drive so also went to Tintagel castle home of King Arthur and also the Eden project. Hide
