This beautiful detached barn is situated in the heart of the owners’ working farm and is in the sought-after village of Kilmington. Walks are in abundance and are literally accessible from your doorstep, with Stonehenge just a short journey away and the local pub  just a few field's walk away. A perfect location for exploring three counties - Wiltshire, Dorset and Somerset. Sightseers have plenty of choice with numerous National Trust properties within a short drive, including Stourhead House and Gardens just a few minutes’ drive away. Longleat with its famous Safari Park is great fun for adults and children, alternatively for those who like a flutter or simply enjoy the spectacle, Wincanton Racecourse is close by. A little further afield, is the historic spa town of Bath and the cathedral city of Salisbury. Also the Dorset Jurassic Coast is just a short drive away.

This charming spacious barn conversion is approached by a private driveway and is situated in the heart of a working beef farm, set amongst open countryside and farmland. Upon entering the beautiful single-storey accommodation, you are greeted with a light and airy open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner with vaulted ceilings and exposed beams. In the summer you can open the bi-fold doors to the sun-trapped garden to let the outside in, or in the cooler months snuggle up on the comfy sofas while watching your favourite programme on the Smart TV. The perfectly equipped kitchen has an electric Range ovens and hobs, fridge/freezer, microwave and dishwasher , and is a great space for cooking lazy breakfasts or old family favourites. There is also a utility/boot room with a washing machine, useful when returning from outdoor activities and for drying coats, boots and dogs. There are two immaculate bedrooms both with Smart TV's, a king-size with the added benefit of an en-suite shower room with shower and WC and a twin zip-and-link ( which can be made into a super-king-size on request). There is also a contemporary bathroom with a shower over bath and WC.

Outside there is a large enclosed east facing garden with far reaching countryside views, perfect for both you and your four-legged friends to relax in and for children to play. There is also a secluded patio area where guests will find a table and chairs and a charcoal BBQ so you can enjoy some alfresco dining. There is ample off-road parking available.

Perfect to escape the hustle and bustle of life with fabulous walks for us and our dogs close by. Everything in the Barn was of high quality, bed linen/towels and kitchen utensils. Beautifully presented, lovely location for dog walking nearby, National Trust close by, Main bed very uncomfortable Very close to cattle on a working farm, but we loved seeing the cows everyday. We loved our stay in Home Barn. We were warm and cosy through a particularly cold spell, and had all the creature comforts one could want. Friendly owners and a magnificent view plus a few friendly cows. We would definitely visit again except we were moving into our new house not far away.

We are so pleased we found Home Barn for our last minute New Year getaway. We felt so comfortable the moment we stepped through the door, so clean and modern. Festive treats waiting for us was a bonus. We enjoyed walks with our Spaniel from the doorstep along multiple footpaths, we parked at White Sheet Hill and walked a circular route to Mere.. Lovely spacious barn, very comfortable and well equipped. Lovely comfy sofas, all recliners! Great size area for the dogs but have recommended they put wire on the gates as our dogs were small and could fit through the gaps. Fantastic stay at Home Barn. The location was perfect for us and the directions were easy to follow to find it. Very child friendly (for our 16 month old) and she absolutely loved saying hello to the cows every morning. Fabulous property, clean, warm and with all the mod cons which makes for a very relaxing break in the peaceful Wiltshire countryside. Only negative and its a small one is the property description still references a pub in walking distance but this has long since closed so info needs refreshing.

What a lovely holiday home in a lovely location. Couldnt fault it. Comfortable, clean, well equipped. We had a problem with the wi-fi which was rectified in minutes of mentioning it to the owners. Dog friendly accommodation with a secure garden. Many places to visit nearby. We would definitely return.

This barn conversion is very good with everything that you might need , except wardrobes! ( which we found a bit strange) the lounge seating was comfortable as were the beds. The location was ideal for the places we wanted to visit, including, Glastonbury, Stourhead and Wells ( very nice) .

This property is a beautifully converted dairy with lovely open plan lounge, dining area and kitchen. The utility room was perfect for the dogs and sink was handy. The lounge area is almost all glass byfold doors which were great to open up the room to the garden and led to absolutely stunning views. The bedrooms were large and beautifully decorateRead mored. Home Barn is a spacious, clean and well furnished holiday home in an attractive rural setting with a number of good walks that can be taken from "the door". Amongst them, the NT's Stourhead estate can be reached with a 15/20 minute walk across the fields.

A stunning barn, been spoilt to find anything to match it. Our stay would have been even better if it hadnt rained so much as some of the walks were too muddy, but thats the risk you take holidaying in jan.

In a quiet secluded area the barn is an ideal location for peace and relaxation. The owners have put a great deal of thought into the equipment supplied and it is all high quality (nespresso coffee machine, stellar 7000 pans). The working farm gives some noise, of that we aware before we booked the cottage. The noise is mainly rather early in the morning and our dogs experienced it as the sound of thunder, which they are afraid off. Nice rural property with lovely views of the countryside ,it was very peaceful and an ideal base for getting around. The property was clean and welcoming and the attention to details was excellent. It has a nice outside area with seating, ideal for eating whilst looking at the view. Very dog / family friendly. The cottage was extremely clean and comfortable and well appointed. Theres a lovely outlook from the front and its very quiet and private. The only minor disappointment was that the pub at the end of the lane is closed and doesn't look like ever opening. Highly recommended stay here.

A lovely airy , spacious , comfortable and well equipped place to stay. Super large utility room. Situated just outside Stourhead gardens and many places to walk locally. We stayed for a fortnight and would return.

My friend and I plus the two dogs had a great time and we were well placed to visit both family and places of interest. Sorry but we had to leave the recycling back in the yard as it was not picked up on the Tuesday that we were instructed to put it outside with the rubbish.

Very comfortable, well equipped barn conversion just off the main Gillingham to Frome road. Whilst on a working farm the property points away from the main working area so is generally quiet and you feel on your own. Owners very helpful and the biscuits, milk and eggs were appreciated. Plenty of places to visit nearby. We visited Stourhead, MontacuRead morete, Sherborne, Frome, Devizes and Clarks Village. Despite being quite close to home we expect to return again in the future.
