A gorgeous cottage in an amazing location, with fantastic views of the surrounding countryside. The cottage itself is very well-equipped with everything you need - plenty of crockery and cutlery, which is always a bonus. A fantastic shower too! Great communication from the host, Helen.

The lodge was lovely, well equipped and comfortable . But unfortunately it was cold and wet outside there would have been a lovely log burner if the wood / fence posts weren't soaking wet which therefore couldn't burn them. Four guests (two couples) had a fantastic stay at the start of the February half term. We found the Lodge to be spacious and well-equipped for cooking and eating at the property, along with being brilliantly linked with Public Footpaths to Butterton, Grindon, and the Manifold Valley. The beds were comfortable, the shower was powerful and warm, and Read morethe lounge was well equipped with guides, maps, a wood burner, and games to entertain yourselves with. Would love to come back in the Summer! Hide

Absolutely adored this stay! Donkeys, chickens, cows and dogs all roam free across the farm, including next to this lodge. Shower was powerful and hot, the bed was very comfortable and the amenities were useful. They also keep books/DVDs and board games under the TV which I thought was a nice touch :)

The lodge was not as isolated as expected - we like to stay somewhere more private usually and the images were misleading in this regard. The owners' property is right next door and there are multiple static caravans on site which overlook the property. The washing machine was broken which made things very awkward as we had packed expecting to be aRead moreble to do laundry whilst away. Sadly the tiny shower room and ridiculously small hand basin let the property down. Spectacular views though. Hide
