The detached property is located within the grounds of Godshill Park Farm, which offers a range of activities from walking with llamas and alpacas to fishing the farms pond stocked with carp, roach and tench. This is an ideal place to stay if you enjoy cycling and walking as it benefits from direct access to the renowned Stenbury and Worsley trails. The quintessential English village of Godshill, within a short walk of the cottage, boasts some of the oldest architecture on the island and is known for being the site of the first Isle of Wight festival back in 1968. Godshill is also home to popular pubs, restaurants, cafes (including a vegan one!) and tea rooms for those memorable meals out. There is something for everyone at Godshill Park Farm where you can meet the farm animals, enjoy a horsedrawn carriage drive or fish the lake.

Upon coming into the entrance porch you instantly feel welcome in this cottage. The characterful well-equipped kitchen with electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and a dishwasher and features a historical fireplace with exposed brickwork which contrasts well with the modern kitchen. Round the corner is the breakfast bar area which leads into the cosy lounge being a fantastic space to snuggle in front of the wood burner whilst watching your favourite film on the TV/DVD. Through the french windows you enter the conservatory which benefits from a dining table to seat you all in a lovely setting where you can relax and look out onto the orchard. The ground floor twin bedroom and shower room with shower and WC are found at the back of the house. The utility room adjacent to the shower room is equipped with a washing machine and tumble dryer and gives access to the enclosed rear garden. Head up to the first floor where you will find the other two double bedrooms with views over the surrounding farmland. The upstairs bathroom with corner bath and WC completes the accommodation.

The lawned back garden borders the wonderful Isle of Wight countryside. An outdoor table and chairs for al fresco dining is the ideal setting for a family holiday. It's a nice setting for walking but houses either side are close. Heating very good. Poor attention to detail. Broken hoover. No full mattress covers on beds. TINY FRIDGE. Bathroom doors do not shut ...cannot lock. No welcome pack No DvD's or games.

A Lovely and peaceful place to stay. Some great walks right outside your front door. The garden was great to have for my grandson to burn off some energy. Any issues we had were dealt with promptly by the owners. I highly recommend a stay at Hazel Cottage.

Great location from which to explore by foot or car, lovely and quiet, local pubs within 1km walk. Generally well appointed. A great bonus especially for the kids, to be able to accompany the owner on her morning rounds of rare breed sheep, ponies horses, alpacas and llamas etc.. Owner most accommodating.

The cottage was clean and comfortable and fully equipped. We did feel cold at night and had to borrow another duvet from another room. Having worked in hospitality myself, I always made sure guests were welcomed personally. This didn't happen to us at any point which was a shame.

Property was clean and comfortable. Owners friendly and especially nice for the youngsters being taken around to feed the animals and look round the farm. Situation at Godshill was good allowing easy reach to all parts of the island. Also helps to be able to walk into the village to visit the pub (Griffin) which served good meals.

We had a wonderful time for our long weekend away. The cottage was a good base for our trips out. Beds and sofas were comfy and we really enjoyed eating in the conservatory together. Communication with the owners was good and the directions to the cottage were clear. All in all a good place to stay - thank you.

Have stayed in many cottages over the years - self-catering with our dog. I can honestly say this has absolutely been the best experience. Lovely space, great, quiet and peaceful but not too far away from civilisation.
