This stunning property sits to one side of the owner’s farmhouse in the heart of the Devon countryside. The nearby village of Chulmleigh is a delight with its shops, pubs, riding stables and golf course just a short distance away. Further afield are the sandy beaches of Saunton and Woolacombe. Or enjoy the splendour of Dartmoor and Exmoor. Other attractions include RHS Rosemoor Gardens and the Cobbaton Combat Museum. For outdoor enthusiasts there are plenty of walking and cycling opportunities why not hire bikes or take a ride on part of the pretty Tarka Train Line providing easy access to both Barnstaple and Exeter.

On stepping into the property, you immediately notice the spaciousness, with the high ceilings and exposed beams to add to that feeling of space. This property is furnished and equipped in a contemporary style and benefits from underfloor heating throughout the ground floor. The open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner is great for families and friends to cook, eat and relax together with comfy sofas, Smart TV and a warming wood burner and plenty of windows to let the light in, it’s a great place to stay at any time of the year. The kitchen area has an island unit and is well-equipped with electric oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer. A utility area can also be found on the ground floor with washing machine and tumble dryer in the separate WC. There are three bedrooms in total, the first of which is a super-king-size with en-suite shower room with shower and WC which can be found on the ground floor. Heading up the stairs to the first floor you have the two further bedrooms, one twin and one super-king-size. A bathroom with bath, separate shower and WC completes the accommodation.

Stepping outside there is a private patio to enjoy your evenings.

Nice property in a good location. The cottage is not advertised for disabled people, but my wife is a wheelchair user and we managed just about OK. The owners provided a ramp for the front door. There is plenty of floor space, but the ground floor shower would prove difficult for some as would the height of the sink. But a nice property and we may Read morewell return. Hide

If your looking for peaceful break then look no further.. we had a great stay , our 3 dogs love it and enjoyed roaming around with resident dog Honey. It's is in the middle of no where so make sure you have supplies if leaving city life. Amazing stay and look forward to going back.

Lovely accommodation and has everything you need for a week or 2 week family holiday. We were 6 adults and 2 dogs and it was very comfortable. The owners were very welcoming and the information pack on our arrival was very informative. Attractions took a while to get to but well worth it and if you like country lanes you will be in country lane heaRead moreven. A great place to stay for peace and quiet and with dogs. The hosts are welcoming and happy to introduce us to their animals. The 4 acre field was fantastic for our dogs to run in. The barn itself is well equipped and comfy with a fenced in garden at the rear. Lots of good beaches and walks in the area and the barn made a great base.
