This property enjoys a quiet countryside location, close to the Devon/Cornwall border, within easy access of some of Cornwall’s finest seaside locations, including the sandy beaches of Bude, the quiet coastal village of Crackington Haven, and the attractive fishing port of Boscastle. Back over the border into Devon, the traditional town of Holsworthy is just five miles from the property, and offers a taste of authentic Devonshire rural life, with its weekly pannier market, cattle market, and a range of shops, pubs, and tearooms. For those who enjoy exploring the local countryside, there are plenty of opportunities for scenic walks locally, not least on nearby Dartmoor.

This property makes a wonderful location for a couple’s break, and offers a one bedroomed accommodation in a delightfully converted barn, located close to the main farm house. On entering the property, guests are able to hang their coats in the handy storage cupboard, situated in the hallway which leads through to the main living area. This space comprises a spacious split level, open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, with the lounge/diner being located on the lower level, and offering sofa seating, a dining table for two, a TV/DVD, and a cosy woodburner effect electric fire. A door leads from here out to the patio. Five wooden steps lead from this area to the farmhouse style kitchen, which overlooks the rest of the room. Here guests will find everything they need, including an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge with ice compartment, dishwasher, and washer/dryer. The property’s bedroom is a comfortable king-size room with exposed beams, and a wall-mounted TV. The bathroom offers a shower over bath and WC.

Doors leading from the lounge area bring guests to the property’s private patio, with its BBQ and picnic style bench providing an ideal space to enjoy the quiet surroundings over a drink in the evenings. This area leads onto a shared lawn area, where guests may like to try their hand at a round of croquet using the provided equipment, which can be found in the shared games barn. This space also contains a range of enjoyable games, including a table tennis table and darts board.

Bluebell Cottage was perfect for just us two and our little dog in every way, with extreme comfort, facilities, cleanliness, warmth and a great power shower. We loved the fur accessories and the mega wardrobe, as well as the very well equipped kitchen and all of the cooking facilities provided. Our little dog loved the underfloor heating immensely!Read more The location was just amazing in the midst of a cattle farm, being managed by a young farmer, who was very enthusiastic and proud of his farm. Nice cottage in a rural location. Would benefit from having a secure patio where you could let the dog out off the lead. Lovely and peaceful.

A very clean , well equipped barn conversion situated in unspoilt countryside, but not very isolated,as the town of Holsworthy is a short distance away. The excellent seaside resort of Bude is also nearby.

The photos of this property do not do it justice. It had a wow from us when we walked in. It is extremely spacious, clean, comfy and extremely functional, . It has been renovated to an extremely high spec keeping some of the original features. The area is rural and quiet which is what we were looking for. An absolutely fantastic stay!
