Just half a mile away from the cottage, you’ll find the Churnet Valley Steam Railway, a great way to see the area. At the bottom of the valley is the Caldon Canal with a waterside footpath to follow. Visit the Dovedale stepping stones across the border in the Peak District. For a city day out, travel to Stoke, Derby or Stafford.
Step into the entrance porch offering space to store muddy boots and coats and wander into the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. The kitchen space offers everything you need to rustle up a hearty meal during your stay, including an electric oven and hob, microwave and fridge with an ice compartment. Relax on the sofa with the wood burner and TV for cosy evenings in. There is a drop-leaf table situated nearby where you can enjoy a leisurely breakfast. Head up the stairs to the double bedroom with a beautiful Juliette balcony with stunning views over the valley. There is a handy en-suite bathroom with a shower over the bath and a WC.
Outside there is seating providing a lovely spot to relax in the fresh air. Situated a short walk away is the shared garden and an enclosed dog exercise paddock. You can enjoy a shared indoor play barn 'messy barn' for the kids, with mud kitchens, sand and water play, little bikes and cars and painting.
