This pretty rural cottage is well-located in a lovely Cotswolds making this the ideal holiday hideaway for families and couples.

The property lies quietly on the edge of the small village of Northmoor, close to the Thames Valley with a pretty stream running through and ducks roaming freely. Here you will find a community owned pub offering good local food just a 2-minute walk away. The nearby village of Standlake has a small shop and a pub. Witney is 7 miles away and offers a range of shops, banks and amenities. Heading through the front porch, you enter the small hallway and from there the lovely cottage lounge with country furnishings where you can relax next to the wood-burner on the comfortable sofa with cosy cushions and relax with a book from the well-stocked bookcase or enjoy a good movie. If you stay in for dinner, there is a well catered for kitchen/dining room including an electric oven with hob, microwave, washer/dryer, fridge, freezer and a dishwasher, so you don’t even need to do the dishes, along with a country dining table and chairs for four. There is also a shower room with WC on this floor. Heading up to the first floor, you come to a double bedroom, then a further twin bedroom and a bathroom with a bath, washbasin and WC.

From the French doors in the lounge, you can step outside to the enclosed garden where you will find a lawned area and south facing patio with barbeque and garden furniture, where you can immerse yourself in the picturesque views across the open fields.

it is a very cosy, neat and warm cottage; the kitchen has all you need for a long stay, it is lovely to wake up early in the morning to hear the birds; very peaceful village with a good pub (The Red Lion)- Mary Ann gives a lot of info personally and in a map in the cottage.

A very well-equipped and cosy cottage. Central heating was excellent, but it was nice to be able to light the wood-burner as the weather was rather cheerless during our visit. Tall people need to be aware of the sloping ceilings upstairs.

Warm and cozy cottage. Nice quiet location. Not too far from Witney and Oxford and within range of takeaway delivery services. With a warm log fire a nice place to get away from it all or a base for Oxfordshire and Cotswolds exploration. Friendly helpful hosts nearby.

A nice and comfortable cottage in beautiful surroundings. Oxford, London, Cotswalds are all within travelling distance.
