This stunningly converted barn, in a complex of four properties, is the perfect choice for a romantic getaway by the sea as it offers stylish accommodation, traditional charm and plenty of popular attractions within easy reach.

Located on a family-run working arable farm, this property is surrounded by glorious open countryside. Located one mile inland from Hayle, it is within walking distance of three miles of golden sandy beach, perfect for surfing, bathing and walking. At the other side of the bay, St Ives has a host of galleries, restaurants, cafes and shops to browse, while other popular attractions such as Flambards Theme Park, Paradise Park and the National Seal Sanctuary are within easy reach.
Arranged on one level, the accommodation is contemporary, bright and open-plan with oak flooring throughout. The modern kitchen area contains an electric oven and hob, fridge, freezer, microwave and dishwasher, plus a small table and chairs for romantic meals for two. In the lounge area, you will find comfortable sofas, a cosy rug, TV/DVD and French windows opening out to a patio. Very clean, comfortable cottage. Situated in a quiet location. Ample car parking and very convenient for the train station at St Erth which we used daily to go to St Ives to meet family.

Our fourth visit and wont be our last. Lovely accommodation in a quiet location but close to roads leading to St Ives, Helston etc. Very welcoming and pleasant owner who does everything possible to make the holiday a success.

I have been staying at Trenhayle Barns every year for the past 8 years, which is a recommendation in itself. I have already made another booking for next year. Carnsew is an extremely comfortable, quiet and well equipped property. It is also in a perfect location for walking on different parts of the South West Coastal Path in West Cornwall.

We had a wonderful week in this beautiful cottage,well equipped and set in a peaceful rural location. It has everything required and the owner left us a welcome cream tea which was very much appreciated after a very long drive. We highly recommend and intend to return in the future.

Truly fantastic holiday cottage within easy reach of the beaches of Carbis Bay and St Ives. The owners have thought of everything from the super comfy bed and power shower through to the extremely well equipped kitchen. The cottage is in a superb location, amongst open farmland. Its obvious that a lot of care has bern taken in setting it up. Hayle town centre is within easy walking distance, with eateries and takeaways. There are gorgeous beaches within a short drive and our dog had a fsntastic time on both coastal and countryside walks. Fabulous accommodation, extremely clean and quiet, washing machine was a nice surprise and much appreciated. Welcome treats also appreciated. Cant fault it and we will go back. A coffee machine would have been an amazing advantage but the Hub in St Ives serves amazing coffee and breakfasts with a great view.

Beautiful and well equipped cottage, in a great location with easy access to St Ives and Cornwall. Fantastic welcome cream tea. Although the property was dog friendly there was no doggie smell. We will definitely consider returning.

Carnsew - Absolutely gorgeous, perfect size for 2 and 1 dog, We could not fault the cottage, On arrival Tea and Scones were waiting for us which after our drive to Cornwall were very welcoming. Ideal location for us, we would definitely book to stay here again.

Carnsew is really lovely, just the right size for two (and a four legged friend). It's in a great location, making it easy to get out and about to explore the area. We're just sorry it's already booked for next year, but we hope to come back another time.

Such a lovely place to stay! Really clean and cozy, perfect location, really close to the centre of ST Ives but still in a quiet peaceful area. Fresh scones with cream and jam on arrival too! Highly recommend.

The cottage was lovely, very well equipped and warm. The cottage is in a lovely location, just a short walk from the main town and beach. We had a great time despite the rain and wind. Plenty of parking and the entrance was paved so limited the underfoot bits of leaves/gravel into the cottage (we had a dog with us).

Lovely little cottage which is a barn conversion. It has an enclosed garden and is ideal if you have a dog. You are asked not to leave your dog alone in the property, but we found Cornwall very dog friendly so we were able to go to some lovely restaurants with the dog in tow. Carnsew made a perfect base to explore this wonderful part of Cornwall. We arrived quite late and were met with the cottage being lit in welcome. It is beautifully finished and Sue's little extra touches (flowers on the table, tea & biscuits, and in this covid era, antibacterial soaps and hand sanitizer) were really appreciated.
