Bed well cottage is delightful. Its very cosy, warm, comfortable and has absolutely everything you could need. The wood burner was made up for us and the Rayburn was a bonus too. The owners have thought of everything. We took our 2 dogs and I have never stayed in such a dog friendly cottage. They had towels and treats, a fully enclosed garden and wRead moree were shown walks from the door. Perfect. Hide

It was an old cottage with character. So warm, even when we had a frost outside. I could not work out how to use the convector/ microwave and was happy to just cook on Rayburn even for our toast in the morning, as we didnt find Toaster till last morning, Would have liked to have stayed longer.

Well equipped cottage in a great location. Plenty of walks from the village to lovely pubs that were very welcoming to us and our muddy dogs.

Beautiful cottage and location. The best equipped self catering accommodation we have stayed in. Very welcoming with a pint of milk and bottle of wine! Even treats for the dog on arrival! Definitely stay there again.

A quiet and convenient location

Unfortunately not our ideal cottage, although tastes differ. Aircraft noise - intermittent but all hours even in the night; extremely uncomfortable settee's; small, yet comfortable double bed, especially if you are used to a king size; the kitchenware required washing before using. The cottage is warm but tired and worn. A lot of knick knacks and sRead moretuffed toys which makes it dusty. If you like minimal, crisp and clean, near a shop/pub then this is definitely not the cottage for you. Hide

Sadly not our ideal cottage, although we appreciate that tastes and expectations differ. Negatives for us: lack of privacy; aircraft noise - intermittent but up until 12.00 midnight; extremely uncomfortable sofa, too many knick knacks. If you like minimal, then this is definitely not the cottage for you.

Beautifully decorated cottage; the hosts could not have squeezed in another picture or knick knack. Very handy to all sorts of places- Oxford, Cotswolds, Cheltenham, but you will need a car. Very quaint and friendly hamlet where the cottage is.

Beautiful rural location. 100s of acres to walk the dog. Lovely olde worldly Farm house. All of the local pubs serve great food.

Reviewed by Julie 7th May 2019

Too isolated for us, no pub in the village or shop, we didnt realise it was so far out from Lechlade. But the cottage is comfortable and homely with stuffed cuddly toys everywhere .

A beautiful cottage stocked with everything youd need. Very child friendly (we had our 18mo with us) and looks like it would be very dog friendly as well.

Bedwell Cottage is very homely, with lots of home comforts, a well-equipped kitchen and wood-burner and range. It was peaceful, apart from the odd airplane from RAF Brize Norton, with country walks on the doorstep and quaint towns and villages nearby. Theres lots to do in the area.

We found the property spacious, clean, warm etc. But on the downside the settee was uncomfortable and needed replacing. Good for dog owners with plenty of walks If you fancy a quirky country cottage full of nick nacks and pictures then this is the one for you.

The cottage was small and cluttered with too much furniture. It was advertised as appropriate for 3 dogs which we had with us and though we managed it wasnt really big enough. However it is well situated to be able to see the area.
