This property enjoys an attractive farmland location in the village of Darley in the picturesque surroundings of the Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The area is ideal for those who want to enjoy the simple pleasures of the great outdoors, walking in the countryside, following the local cycling routes, and trying their hand at bouldering at nearby Brimham Rocks. For more adventurous types, How Stean Gorge, situated some 15 miles north of the property, offers the chance to have a go at a range of outdoor pursuits ranging from caving and abseiling to climbing and canyoning. For those who want to enjoy a more relaxing day, the spa town of Harrogate, with its tearooms and Turkish Baths, is located just 4 miles from the cottage.

This barn conversion cottage is located on the owners farm and offers the chance to enjoy a taste of rural life in stylish and comfortable surroundings. The first room that guests will come to on arrival is the spacious kitchen/diner which has been equipped to a high standard offering an oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, and tumble dryer, large dining table and a 2 seater sofa. This is also where guests will find their welcome pack of homemade goods which have been made on the farm. Moving through to the lounge, guests will find a light-filled room with a feature window and a TV/DVD, large comfy sofa and additional armchair,  also, on the ground floor, there is a convenient cloakroom with a WC, whilst on the first floor both of the bedrooms offer en-suite facilities. The first of these is the master king-size room and benefits from an en-suite bathroom featuring a bath, and large separate shower, and WC. The second bedroom, meanwhile, is an attractive twin room with an en-suite shower and WC.

Outside to the front  there is a seating area  allowing guests to sit out and enjoy the quiet rural surroundings, to the rear there is an additional seating area where you can enjoy the late afternoon sunshine and panoramic views.  There is off-road parking for two cars.

The cottage is on a working farm in the Nidderdale area. It was very comfortable for the four of us and had everything needed. We enjoyed exploring the area nearby and the broader Yorkshire Dales from the base. We walked to the Wellington Inn for Sunday lunch which we enjoyed.

The spacious cottage had ample parking, nice and quiet and within walking distance of a very nice pub...(.I would recommend the steak pie at the Wellington Inn). Also within easy reach of Pateley Bridge , Harrogate and a few National Trust properties. The cottage was clean ,well equipped , TV , dishwasher , oven, hob, toaster etc, with modern en suRead moreit bathrooms. I would stay there again. Hide

This cottage has been really well done. Kitchen is fully stocked and the layout is great. Owners are lovely and we really enjoyed our stay.

Lovely cottage in a spectacular area. Very spacious and airy, homely and comfortable. Lovely to come back to home comforts after a days site seeing with all the equipt facilities you may need.

Great stay, loved the location, the cottage was very clean and spacious. Close to footpaths and good walks, well placed for visiting the sights and villages in the Yorkshire Dales.
