Boasting sea views, surrounding countryside and a simple farmhouse decor within, this rurally situated cottage invites you to step back in time and enjoy an unforgettable stay on the Welsh coast. Wonderfully located for exploring Caernarfon (3 miles), the mountains of Eryri - Snowdonia (6.5 miles) and Wales’ beautiful beaches (closest 3 miles), you’ll be hard pressed to pick and choose what activities you get up to whilst staying here. Perhaps you’re most drawn to the beach at Dinas Dinlle (5 miles) with its wide expanse of sandy shore, fantastic wildlife and water sports opportunities. Or, if mountain biking or thrilling hikes are more your thing, the towering mountains of Snowdon and Glyder Fawr are accessible within 15 miles. And on rest days, soothe aching muscles with a relaxing stroll around Caernarfon and a tour of the UNESCO World Heritage Site, Caernarfon Castle (2.5 miles).

As you step inside, the first thing you’re set to notice is how the owners have lovingly maintained the sense of countryside charm throughout. Through pretty soft furnishings and sturdy antique furniture, the original character of this farmhouse shines through. The ground floor is made up of a handsome sitting room and cosy kitchen/diner, the latter offering an original range (sadly, out of use) and locally sourced quarry tiles. Despite its traditional feel, the kitchen has been equipped with all of the necessary white goods that you’ll need throughout your stay. Step on through into the snug lounge after breakfast or dinner, curling up on a comfy sofa with the wood burning stove (initial logs provided), keeping you cosy and warm. The ground floor offering is completed by a single bedroom and a shared family bathroom. Ascend a short flight of stairs up to the first floor to find the remaining bedrooms. Laid out as a twin and a double, both of these bedrooms are complete with floral accents and stunning views from the windows.

There’ll be no shortage of outdoor space when staying in this countryside spot. Step outside to find an enclosed garden space, set to lawn and complete with outdoor furniture and BBQ for summer nights. The property itself sits on 52 acres of grazing farmland, all of which children can explore.

A cosy, traditional Welsh cottage in a stunning location. We were really able to properly relax here and enjoy some quality family time. It was winter when we stayed but the log burner and heating kept us all warm and cosy. Local walks were great, with just a short distance to the sea front and Caernarfon castle only a 2 mile scenic walk away. Our Read moretwo dogs loved the enclosed garden and the ample parking worked well for our various family members coming together in separate vehicles. Owners Louis and Sally were very friendly and helpful. Hide
