This carbon-neutral cottage is set in a gorgeous rural location in the hills, within a 700-acre working sheep farm and is a great place to get away from the hustle and bustle with friends or family. There are plenty of walking trails to explore right from the doorstep which could easily fill a whole week of adventure. A place that’s sure to have something for all the family is the trail centre at Coed Y Brenin Forest Park (2 miles), where there is a children’s play area, discovery trails, mountain biking trails, orienteering courses and more. For a day trip out, the nearest town is Dolgellau (14 miles) where a small selection of shops and eateries can be found. This room offers plenty of entertainment, from the smart TV to films, books and games which can be found in the cupboards, as well as comfortable leather seating. The conservatory is a great place to sit back with a good book or to admire the countryside views, come rain or shine. For mealtimes, the kitchen/diner has ample space with a wooden dining table and chairs. All three bedrooms sit on the first floor, with a double room equipped with a TV and en-suite shower room being the largest. There is a further double room, with plenty of storage, and a twin which is great for kids. These two rooms are served by a tiled family bathroom with a handheld shower attachment to rinse off after a day of adventures.

The garden area boasts panoramic views of the surrounding hills, which can be enjoyed sitting on the picnic table placed on the patio. There’s also a brick BBQ for any evenings where dining alfresco is on the cards.

Location was amazing. Warning for anyone tall as low doorways. Internet was not very good. Don't follow directions as roads are very narrow, much better access via Bronaber. Lovely touch about providing essentials. Response from holidaycottages.co.uk: Thank you for your review. We can confirm that we will discuss this with the owner.

The cottage and area was everything we hoped it would be. Quiet and beautiful. Many different birds you don't usually get to see and other wildlife. Cottage warm, clean, comfortable and very well stocked. No need to take the basics ie dishcloth, washing up liquid, tea, toilet roll etc as all provided unlike at some other rentals. Gorgeous cottage in a truly breathtaking location. We had a fantastic weekend and did not want to leave. A simply perfect weekend, topped off by slowly watching the sunset over the mountains, truly magical.
