In an elevated position at the end of a private, no-through lane, and with far-reaching views of the surrounding hills and woodlands, the farmhouse is ideal for families or groups of friends. It stands above the village of Llangurig, 0.3 miles away, which has a shop and pubs and is on a national cycling route. From this peaceful, rural location, great places to visit include the red kite feeding centre at Gigrin Farm in Rhayader, 10 miles away, Clywedog Sailing Club for a range of watersports, 11 miles, and the spectacular waterfalls at Devil’s Bridge Falls, 15 miles.

Inside the farmhouse there is plenty of choice of rooms in which to enjoy solitude or socialise. The lounge has a range of sofas and chairs, gathered around a wood burner that is set on a slate hearth against a striking exposed-stone wall. For an additional seating area, or a further bedroom, the snug has a sofa bed and a storage cupboard for clothes and bedding, and there is also a conservatory with a suite of furniture and lovely views over the garden, valley and hills. On this floor is also a lovely king-size bedroom and a separate shower room with WC. Upstairs, there are two bedrooms: a family room with a double and a single bed, and a double bedroom, as well as a smart family bathroom.

Surrounded by paddocks and woodlands, the house has some adjacent outbuildings and attached barns which are used by the owner (who lives on site) for keeping and breeding horses. There are landscaped gardens and a patio area to the front with a dining table, chairs and parasol. There is a raised patio to the side, with a luxury hot tub with cover, mood lighting and more seating.

What a fabulous stay. Exceeded my expectations as I had arrived armed with half my kitchen as many places I've stayed are not equipped well for larger groups but this had everything you need for staying in and making large elaborate group meals. Plenty of space and room to go break into smaller group conversations. Peaceful area with great views anRead mored horses and chickens nearby. The cottage is well kept and decorated in such a personal way you can tell this is a much loved family home. Plants adorn the inside and outside of the house so you really feel like this is a home away from home. The hot tub is a great draw with space for 7 and great views. I recommend you bring your own flip flops to go back and forth from the tub to the house. Had a really good time here and would highly recommend especially if you want somewhere you can spend all day in. This cottage is definitely earmarked for any mid-Wales trip we do in the future - We will definitely be back. Hide

We have recently returned from the most fabulous week at Bryncylla. There is nothing much I can say, except it was perfect in every way. The property was exceptional and so warm and cosy and the location was idyllic, surrounded by horses and their beautiful foals. We cannot wait to return again one day xx

We had a lovely stay in Bryncylla. The cottage is in a beautiful location and easily plenty of room for 3 families with kids. We enjoyed the hot tub and walking and cycling from the front door. The owner was extremely friendly and the toddlers enjoyed meeting her horse and exploring in the garden. Thankyou for a lovely weekend.
