The perfect destination for a romantic escape, it offers the chance to either unwind in seclusion or explore the many attractions of the Norfolk/Suffolk countryside. The farm won the Ian MacNicol Trophy in 2025 which was awarded in recognition of all the work done to preserve and enhance local species, habitats, natural resources and sustainable farming practices. Start by booking a farm tour with the owner, and afterwards head to Bungay (5 miles), where you can forage in antiques shops and tour the castle ruins. In historic Norwich (12 miles), there is much to see and do, from the Romanesque cathedral to an array of museums and galleries. For a coastal adventure, head to the seaside town of Southwold with its sandy beach, pier, independent shops and pubs or Kessingland Beach which is popular with wild swimmers and windsurfers, both less than 24 miles away. Visit a vineyard or play a round of golf (both 5 miles) or, in Chedgrave (8 miles), hire a cruiser to float along the waters of the Norfolk Broads.

Formerly an agricultural building, this sophisticated conversion has successfully retained characterful original features while adding floor-to-ceiling glazing and high-quality, modern amenities. Carefully chosen colours, natural textures and sophisticated lighting create a restful ambience throughout. Enter the stunning, open-plan living space, where you’ll immediately be drawn to the incredible views of sheep grazing in the fields through the bi-fold doors at the far end. Settle into one of the armchairs thoughtfully positioned here, and feel the peace and tranquillity help you unwind. Alternatively, the comfortable sofa is another cosy spot, ideal for a quiet evening at home with entertainment on the Smart TV. In cooler weather, you can use the under floor heating, or light the wood burner and enjoy its warming glow. A rustic dining table sits in the centre of the room, ready for lingering meals prepared in the high-quality kitchen. With painted, Shaker-style cupboards and all mod cons, it’s equipped for quick snacks and gourmet dinners alike. Along the hall lies the utility room, in which you’ll find a microwave as well as a washing machine. The bathroom is truly impressive, a generous space with both a free-standing bath and a large, walk-in shower. Last, but not least, at the very end of the barn is the bright and spacious, super-king-size bedroom, which boasts a high ceiling, ample storage and doors to the garden.

For laid-back evenings in the fresh country air, make the most of the wraparound garden, which has a huge expanse of lawn as well as a patio area with outdoor furniture and a Kadai fire pit/BBQ. A unique surprise, standing in a sheltered corner of the patio, is a large, free-standing bath, plumbed to have hot and cold water – an idyllic option for a long soak under the stars. Another benefit of this special destination is a large driveway, which provides ample parking.
