Located in the scenic East Neuk of Fife, this gorgeous cottage sits on a working farm and offers the perfect base to families and groups of friends planning outdoor adventures across this dramatic part of Scotland. Lovers of the coast are within each reach of Pittenweem and Anstruther, both of which are less than 2 miles away and charm with their quaint harbours, sandy beaches, and rich maritime heritage. In Pittenweem, check out the many art galleries and visit the annual arts festival; while in Anstruther you can explore the popular Scottish Fisheries Museum or take a boat trip to the Isle of May to see puffins and seals. For a busier day out, and perhaps a round of 18 holes, visit world-famous St Andrews (8 miles). Other popular attractions within 20 miles include Kellie Castle, Kingsbarns Distillery, the Scottish Deer and Sea Life centres, and the palaces of Falkland and Culross. Before stepping into this inviting, dog-friendly property, take a moment to soak in the surrounding scenery of tranquil farmland and far-reaching countryside views.

Head inside and kick off walking boots in the hallway before moving through to the social heart of the home – the open-plan living space. Here, head to the lounge area to sink into the comfortable sofas after days of adventure, and flick on the Smart TV for some evening entertainment. On warm days, throw open the bi-fold patio doors to let the fresh Scottish air flow through the cottage. When stomachs begin to rumble, find that the bespoke, well-appointed kitchen boasts everything needed for a self-catered stay. Gather in the inviting dining area to enjoy the chef’s work or take your plates to the outdoor dining space to eat alfresco. For some post-dinner quiet time, find that a cosy snug awaits back indoors with a crackling wood burner. At the end of each busy day away, three charming bedrooms all boast super-king-size beds that convert to twins (on request) to suit flexible sleeping arrangements. The master bedroom is served by a well-equipped en-suite shower room with a walk-in shower and underfloor heating, while a family bathroom with a shower over the bath serves the remaining bedrooms and completes the interior.

Outside, a delightful and fully enclosed garden awaits – offering a perfect spot for families and pets to play freely. Enjoy evening tipples at the covered patio area which sits under a canopy and LED lighting for atmospheric nights together. Fire up the gas BBQ and gather at the outdoor dining area, and afterwards, gaze up at the stars from the bubbling bliss of your very own hot tub. A nice comfortable property, with comfy beds. However a few things missing which we would have expected at this standard of accommodation. A book containing instructions would have been helpful. Lovely well equipped cottage with everything you need for a holiday. Enclosed garden for dogs, and lovely walking routes straight out of the cottage, with a lot of wildlife about - barn owls, tawny owls and grey partridge among others.

The cottage was really nicely planned and there is a nice open plan vibe for alfresco dining. It is beautifully tucked away but accessible to all local amenities. Would definitely recommend it.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Beautiful location and amazing accommodation. No hesitation to recommend. However be aware that the phone signal is patchy and that the Internet is not always strong, which can affect streaming services. Great dog walks from the door.
