The town of Ottery St Mary, on the outskirts of which this property is located, enjoys a fantastic location surrounded by countryside, and yet just a fifteen minute drive from the city of Exeter. ‘Ottery’ itself offers a range of independent shops, and a choice of eateries which pride themselves on serving the best of local produce. It is also quite unique, in that it still celebrates a number of traditional festivals, including Pixie day in June, and the Tar Barrells festival in November, where local men run through the town’s streets carrying flaming barrels of tar. The area surrounding the town has much to offer holiday makers, including the beach at Sidmouth, Wildwood Wildlife Park at Escot House, and Crealy Adventure Park.

This single storey property offers comfortable accommodation for four guests, who will immediately be able to make themselves at home, as soon as they enter the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. This light filled space has comfortable sofa seating at one end of the room, with patio doors which lead out onto the patio, a TV and DVD. Behind this area, the dining area has a table seating four, beyond which is the spacious kitchen area with its electric oven and hob, microwave,  fridge/freezer and washing machine. The property has two bedrooms, the first of which is a light and airy double room which enjoys countryside views, whilst the second bedroom is a cosy twin room. There is also a shower room with WC.

Outside, the property benefits from a fully enclosed patio, where guests will find a BBQ and garden furniture. This provides a fantastic place to sit and enjoy the peaceful surroundings and gaze over the fields where sheep and chicken roam. In fact, guests who would like to participate in farm life are able to make arrangements with the friendly owner, and help to collect eggs and to feed the resident lambs, depending on the season.

The Location was very good & the views of the countryside lovely. The free range egg's bought on the farm were the best that i have ever tasted. Very easy to get into Ottery St Mary itself.

We would recommend this property it's situation is excellent, great views from the patio, the sheep the pigs.the cows and especially the chickens who would come over from their area and wander round the patio hoping to get fed. The inside of the cottage is comfortable, well equipped, clean with underfloor heating when the nights get chilly,it is wellRead more situated to cover a lot of south east Devon and would recommend Buckland Abbey once owned by Sir Francis Drake Hide

Wonderful location and views in the countryside whilst accessible to main roads for days out. Lovely to have chickens roaming round and to see the pigs running to be fed.
