This property enjoys a tranquil rural location, just five miles from the market town of Holsworthy. With its weekly market, and range of shops and tearooms, as well as a traditional cattle market, the town is a fine example of a quintessential Devonshire town. Twelve miles to the south of the farm, the Cornish resort town of Bude, has a number of sandy beaches, a tidal pool, and a mini golf course, as well as a choice of eateries. A little further away, but still within easy access, the coastal towns of Tintagel and Boscastle both make great places for interesting day trips.

This property offers spacious accommodation for three in a tastefully converted barn, which sits alongside two similar properties. On entering, guests will come to the main living area, a spacious open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, with exposed wooden beams, a cosy woodburner effect electric fire, TV/DVD, hi-fi, and comfortable sofa seating. The wooden staircase in the middle of the room, acts as a division between this lounge area, and the kitchen/diner space to the rear of the room. The attractive farmhouse style kitchen is equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge with ice compartment, dishwasher, and washing machine. Open tread wooden stairs lead to the first floor, where the property’s two bedrooms are located. The first of these is a king-size room with its own TV and en-suite shower room with WC, whilst the second bedroom is a spacious single room. The bathroom offers a shower over bath and WC.

Doors from the lounge area lead out to the property’s private patio, with its BBQ and seating, providing guests with a relaxing place from which to enjoy the farm’s peaceful surroundings. The shared lawn is just beyond the patio, giving guests an additional space in which to relax or play games. There is also a shared games barn, which offers a pool table and darts board, as well as some toys and games which will appeal to younger guests.

The Cottage is in a very rural location which suits us, very quiet and the cows in the field at the end of the garden were delightful! The games room with the pool table and dartboard was great fun of an evening and a nice addition. Please be aware that the Wi-Fi/Internet signal is extremely intermittent and pretty poor so make sure you dont rely Read moreon that to plan your outings for the next day especially as theres no general information/guest book in the Cottage. I am a planner so had done weeks of research and had everything saved down to my phone so I wasnt relying on the Internet day-to-day at the accommodation itself. Overall very comfortable accommodation within easy reach of North Cornwall as well as the surrounding (Devon) attractions. Plenty hot water and fantastic shower pressure which was a pleasant surprise due to the very rural location. Hide

A clean, tidy and well equipped holiday home which enabled us to relax and enjoy the peace and tranquility of the area. It was a convenient base to enjoy the beaches, walks, The Tarka Trail and villages of North Devon.

This was a trip down memory lane for us as we had stayed in Fox Glove and meadow sweet on several occasions with my late father . That was was 15 years ago with and have to say we we're not disappointed in that it was still a lovely setting close to amenities. The barn was very comfortable , well kitted out with a great shower . Owner Paul checked Read morein to make ensure we had found the property and arrived safely. A lovely cottage, full of character with private little garden. Very good communication with host. Great base to access great beaches, South coastal path and Bude. The games room with pool table was a wonderful way to pass the evening with the family.

The cottages needs to upgrade its kitchen implements and supply outdoor chairs perhaps folding - the picnic table we feel isnt enough.

We had a lovely week in Meadowsweet barn. It is light and airy and has the feeling of a home. The garden is nice for when the weather allows. The beds and shower were brilliant. There were problems with the WiFi, but they attempted to fix them as quick as possible. If you have not been to Devon before your sat nav will take you down some very narroRead morew potholed roads. Despite a couple of suggestions above, Meadowsweet at Greylands is a beautiful property and my wife would have bought the property given a chance! Although a distance from nearest shops, it was such a nice peaceful location and perfect to relax after days out. TV with freeview gave a good choice but we tend to watch streamed programmes and unfortunRead moreately the Internet is really poor so we had to miss out on that. Water pressure was amazing so showers were wonderful although the en suite is a squeeze Hide
