Nestling in the heart of the North Devon countryside close to the border with Cornwall this is the ultimate retreat for friends and family to enjoy. There are a wealth of breath-taking coastlines just a short drive, with the popular seaside town of Bude just a short drive away and boasting an outdoor open sea pool, array of shops, pubs and restaurants alongside a choice of stunning god friendly sandy beaches with surf hire available. Closer to home the traditional market town of Holsworthy offers a great selection of amenities and shops, and just slightly further a choice of village pub and selection of independent shops can be found at both Hatherleigh and South Molton. Walkers will also be in their element with Dartmoor and Exmoor within easy reach, and the latter providing a gateway to further must see destinations including Lynton, Lynmouth and Porlock. Other attractions in the area include Clovelly, Westward Ho!, Tarka Trail, Tamar Lakes, The Big Sheep, The Milky Way Adventure Park and RHS Rosemoor Gardens.

Step inside this beautiful property and into the light and airy hallway where you will find lots of room to decant outside clothing after a day exploring. From here head further inside and into the heart of the property where the accommodation opens up into a fabulously sociable open-plan kitchen/diner. This lovely room provides the perfect venue for laid back dining and boasts a door providing access to outside so that you can dine alfresco with ease during warm weather. The kitchen itself is also perfectly appointed and offers a great range of appliances including an electric range oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher, and a separate pantry with a fridge/freezer and additional storage. Located close by there is also an undeniably useful separate utility room with a washer/dryer and a ground floor shower room with WC. Also on the ground floor you will find the beautifully presented lounge areas, the first of which is a gorgeous formal sitting room with a Smart TV and warming wood burner. In addition to this and making this property a great option for all ages there is also a secondary lounge/play room and this boasts a comfortable corner group sofa and further Smart TV. Competing the offering on the ground floor is the first of the pretty bedrooms, a lovely light twin bedroom with a shower room with WC located beside. Venturing up the stairs and into the first floor you will then find the rest of the bedrooms, all lovingly presented in a fresh and contemporary country style. These include a king-size and a double bedroom, which both boast a TV, a twin bedroom and then a cosy bunk-bedroom. Located on the same floor and the final room inside the property is a beautifully spacious bathroom with a separate shower and WC.

Venturing outside further highlights are in store in the form of the brilliant outside space. A large enclosed courtyard with garden furniture and a BBQ provides the perfect place to dine outside when the weather permits, plus there is also an enclosed area of lawn directly outside too. Further to this guests also benefit from access to a large pond with seating and plenty of space to explore (dogs to be kept on a lead)  and on-site fishing on the River Waldon. Ample private off-road parking is provided directly outside.

We stayed for a week over Xmas, 5 adults 2 teenagers a toddler,baby and 2 dogs, the cottage was perfect for us and we had the best Xmas spent as a family for the first time in many years.The additional lounge was perfect for the younger adult and teens alongside family games.The small gifts and thoughtful touches were a lovely surprise and the XmasRead more decorations were perfect, Our two dogs loved the spaces available to them and exploring the lanes. This is a wonderful, big house, perfect for our holiday. Theres a lovely big bathroom upstairs with separate shower, and two further shower rooms downstairs. Perfect if you all need to shower after a day at the beach! The layout means you can have the downstairs twin bedroom & 1 of the living areas and bathroom as a separate annexe if 2 families arRead moree sharing. The house was perfect, everything that you could possible want was there. All the furnishings and equipment were top quality and furnishings and beds extremely comfortable. The house is in a fab location, close to Bude and Widemouth Bay beaches and Holsworthy and Bideford are a short distance away for shopping. Gareth is the perfect host, we had a Read moreminor issue during our stay and this was sorted out immediately. All in all and excellent holiday home that I would not hesitate to recommend. Hide

We had a very peaceful and comfortable stay , with plenty of room for us all from age 3 to 68 , 3 children and 6 adults. Lots of toys and books which we made use of as we had rain for 3 days out of 7 . Good central position for exploring beaches in Devon and Cornwall with Bude being the closest . We ordered a delivery from Tesco to arrive as we didRead more and it worked very well , enough food for us all for the week . Plenty of hot water for baths and showers with good pressure. All 10 of us (2 families) had a very enjoyable stay. Very friendly welcome, house was clean and tidy and had everything we needed for our stay. Great location for exploring the coast and we were so lucky with the beautiful weather.

We cant thank Gareth enough for the most incredible holiday. The house itself is well equipped and very comfortable. We were incredibly lucky to have glorious Easter weather and the beaches were only 30 mins drive so the location is great. The house itself is on a farm and due to the time of year lambs were being born daily. Would thoroughly recommend this house for a large group of family or friends the layout is brilliant and the kitchen a great area to get together. The owners were only next door and on hand incase of any problems.

Lovely house and beautiful garden . The kitchen is extremely well equipped and we did make use of the dishwasher as we were a party of 10 adults for most of the time. Thanks for the box of essentials on arrival. The information file was particularly helpful as we didnt know the area. Maps and info re walks and beaches. Spent lovely time at CrackingRead moreton Haven but missed out on the crab sandwiches- best to get there early for parking and cafe! Highly recommended! Hide
