Set within 160 acres of land on a livestock and arable family run farm, this light and airy, ground floor wing of the main farmhouse is perfect for couples in search of a rural retreat. Head out on foot for fantastic walks in the local area or explore nearby Dartmoor National Park, popular among walkers, cyclists and horse riders alike. Three miles away, the pretty town of Tavistock boasts a farmers’ market, weekly craft and pannier markets and array of independent shops and cafes. Further afield, Plymouth, North Cornwall and The Eden Project can all be reached within an hour.

Inside, the accommodation has been decorated in fresh tones and filled with plenty of natural light throughout. Located at one end of the property, the kitchen contains an electric oven and hob, microwave and fridge with ice compartment. Beyond, a cosy lounge area features an electric fire and TV for relaxing evenings in. Towards the rear of the property, the sunny dining area opens out to the garden beyond through patio doors. The double bedroom is light and airy and has a contemporary en-suite shower room with WC.

Patio doors open from the dining area out to a private area of the farmhouse garden with furniture for al fresco meals. Beautifully stocked with herbaceous borders and beds, the garden enjoys spectacular views across open farmland to Dartmoor beyond. The property’s porch also houses a washing machine and acts as a storage space for any outdoor gear. Secure storage for bicycles is also available.

Set in a quiet village of Ottery located five miles outside the lovely town of Tavistock, the Flat is adjoined to the farm house, the flat is well equipped with beautifully views all around especially from the rear patio windows, or the south facing garden, very peaceful, friendly and helpful owners

Very peaceful place with wonderful views from the garden. The cottage is very well equipped and has everything you would need. It is definitely somewhere I would return to in the future.

Owners were very welcoming and helpful throughout our stay and it was a very comfortable cottage we wanted for nothing during our week stay would recommend it without fault

Lovely cottage and everything was spotless. Really comfortable bed and plenty of facilities. Unfortunately the weather was not too kind to us and were therefore unable to take much advantage of the garden and the wonderful view. However we still had a great time. Carolyn and Terry were excellent hosts and would definitely book again in the future.

We really enjoyed our stay in Ottery. The flat is very homely and all it's amenities are very convenient. There is plenty of storage and everything to make for a comfortable week's stay. With use of a private outside space and lovely views it could become the 'go to' place for repeat visits which is a lot more than can be said for some properties wRead moree've stayed in! Hide

Lovely place all round, the owners are such lovely people who made our stay very enjoyable and memorable. The garden is so beautiful and the views are amazing. Location is perfect for visiting the moors and lots of other beautiful attractions close by.. top marks 5/5 for this wonderful property.
