Family and friends can relax in this detached period farmhouse with a pretty garden that commands stunning rural views, perfectly positioned to explore Mid Wales and the Shropshire borders. Situated on the edge of the pretty village of Llanfair Caereinon with a village shop, pubs, fishing and steam trains on the Welshpool & Llanfair Light Railway. The ancient market towns of Welshpool (10.3 miles) and Newtown (12 miles) offer a selection of shops, restaurants, a cinema and attractions, not forgetting National Trust’s Powis Castle and Garden (10 miles). Walkers, cyclists and water lovers alike can stride, ride or paddle along Montgomery Canal, Lake Vyrnwy or head up into the majestic mountains and paths across Snowdonia National Park. A great location to experience culture and countryside pursuits or just be.

Walk into this spacious house full of period charm with beams, stripped floorboards, tiled and flagstone floors, feature fireplaces and creature comforts including underfloor heating. To your left is the stunning kitchen/diner, a beautiful space filled with natural light creating a superb room to rustle up a meal with your local produce purchases from your travels. Enjoy background music, read a book or flick through a magazine. The dining table takes centre stage and is the perfect setting by the feature fireplace for everyone to gather around and dine together. After a leisurely meal, maybe a board game or two, head through to the lovely lounge with comfortable sofas and a Smart TV for a cosy night in. Lovely cottage, highly decorated and well equipped. The owners are friendly and on hand if any issues. The location was remote and quiet as we wanted. We would come again.

The views provide uninterrupted beauty. The house is lovely, well equipped, comfortable, and highly recommended. We very much enjoyed our peaceful stay. The welcome basket was great too. Owners were lovely and helpful.

The property was perfect for us and our family. A lovely cosy living room where we could all spend time relaxing plus a large kitchen diner that was a lovely space to cook, sit and socialise. Thank you very much for such a wonderful stay. We loved watching the birds of prey, the sheep and cows each day. Phil was always nice and chatty when we saw hRead moreim whilst working on the surrounding farms. The garden was nice and secure for our dog and a lovely area for our son to play in. Hide

Lovely, comfortable, remote cottage. Perfect for families as the kids can let off steam in the large garden and not disturb anyone! Enough kitchen equipment to cook, comfy beds and large property/garden.

A lovely holiday cottage for a family get together - 7 of us in total, plus 1 dog It was beautifully clean and comfortable and extremely warm and cosy. The underfloor heating made it toasty warm on our feet. Loads of crockery and cutlery, pans, etc and plenty of cupboard space too to utilise.
