Ideal for families or groups of friends to get away from the hustle and bustle of life. This lovely, dog-friendly cottage is adjacent to the farmhouse on a 250-acre organic farm with private woodlands and a freshwater stream, perfect for paddling. It is situated on top of Llanllwni mountain with stunning panoramic views of Mid Wales. The village of Llanllwni itself is 3.9 miles away and has a village shop and pub. Great for dog walking and mountain biking, and close to the renowned Brechfa Forest, with the stunning beaches and coves of Cardigan Bay just 22 miles away. Llanllwni mountain is also a dark-sky location that is perfect for stargazing. The cottage is accessed via a farm track of approx. 1.5 miles. This makes the property very special being a complete escape to the country, however, it may not be suitable for low-wheel-based vehicles.

You enter this welcoming property into the conservatory which is a lovely place to sit and relax whilst enjoying the beautiful scenery. The galley kitchen is just off the conservatory which has a breakfast bar, and everything required to cook up a delicious meal. The utility room and the ground floor shower room is just off the kitchen area. The lounge/dining room has a comfortable large leather corner suite, a Smart TV and a cosy wood burner with plenty of logs provided in the lounge area. A perfect place for relaxing after a long day exploring the rural surroundings. Sit around and enjoy a meal together or enjoy a good card game. On the first floor you will find the master double bedroom with a Smart TV and an en-suite shower room. The first floor shower room with WC can be adapted to be an en-suite for the master bedroom, or a family shower room, servicing all the bedrooms as required. There is a second comfortable double, and a third twin bedroom with two single beds.

The property is set on a working farm with plenty of spaces to sit and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. There is an enclosed dog paddock with seating for you to exercise your four-legged friends, while you admire the views across the countryside. There is a fire pit where you can toast marshmallows. You will be able to enjoy a spot of stargazing and on a clear night with zero light pollution, this is the perfect place to cosy up with a blanket and glass of your favourite refreshment. There is ample private parking for three cars.

Absolutely amazing location, the starry skies where phenomenal and the cottage itself was clean and had everything we needed. The location is amazing too, loads of land to walk and my 3 German shepherds LOVED the huge fully secure pen to play in next to the cottage.

Amazing stay at Mile & a Half Cottage in July 2025. We stayed with 4 adults and 4 border collies, location could not have been any better! The cottage was absolutely wonderful - spotlessly clean and set in the most relaxing location, surrounded by peaceful farmland. Fresh milk, eggs, and bread on arrival were a lovely touch. There were plenty of scenic tracks to walk our three dogs, and the enclosed paddock was a great bonus. The stream nearby was gorgeous, and our dogs loved it! Would highly recommend this cottage! Well equipped, very comfortable and amazing views! Great hosts and the best of all is the cottage and area is so dog friendly. A self contained paddock and then a wonderful long walk on the land with no free ranging livestock, woodland, stream and huge field for the dogs to explore off lead. The cottage is truly wonderful, plenty big enough for our party of 5 & 4 dogs. So peaceful & quiet, yet within a reasonable distance to the coast & Carmarthen. We did multiple walks around the forests & some can be quite challenging, but well worth it for the views & nature around you. We had an excellent stay at Mile and Half Cottage, its in a perfect location with fabulous walks and scenery all around. The cottage is well appointed and with excellent facilities and very comfortable for us (6 adults and 5 dogs). We were 2 families with young children and grandparents. We also had 3 dogs . The cottage was perfect our stay and the dogs paddock was totally enclosed for our pooches. The beautiful horse and her gorgeous foal were in the next field and not at all phased by our dogs. Vicky was very hospitable and we had some very tasty eggs, fresh bread and doggyRead more treats. Coffee and tea and sugar there for us. Lots of days out to hand. New Quay only 45 mins away with dolphin spotting and the best ice cream. Hide
