  • Lark wood cabin for a couple in idyllic Pembrokeshire countryside
  • Situated on a tranquil small holding with farm animals
  • Rural location within 5 miles of Saundersfoot and the sea
Property code: OC-88421

The cabin is set on the owners’ small holding just 1 mile from the village of Cresselly. Carew Castle and Tidal Mill (2.5 miles) is a scenic spot for a walk and to explore the castle grounds before heading to the bar and restaurant across the road for a bite to eat. Cresswell Quay and its tidal estuary is just 2 miles away and the market town of Narberth can be reached in 8 miles, boasting a range of independent shops, cafes and galleries. If a day at the beach is in order, Saundersfoot (5 miles) offers up golden sand and a vibrant town centre.

As you enter the cabin you are welcomed into an open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. There's a sumptuous two-seater sofa and a Smart TV built into the sideboard. The whole cabin was hand made with lark wood by the owners’ family and the attention to detail really shows. The kitchen has been equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave and under-counter fridge. There is also plenty of cookware and utensils to rustle up a hearty breakfast to start your day off right. There is a dining table for two to enjoy your meals from and plan out your next day's activities. The cosy bedroom has a double bed and en-suite shower room with a free-standing shower and WC. Enjoy a peaceful night's sleep amid tranquil surroundings and awake refreshed. Storage for your clothing has been provided and there is an additional rail in the living area to hang shirts and dresses.

Externally the cabin benefits from a small, gravelled garden area with outdoor seating and a BBQ. Enjoy an evening outside, dining alfresco while looking over the fields. If you are lucky, some of the resident donkeys and sheep may even pop their head over the fence to say ‘hello’ too. The cabin is surrounded by private fields where the animals are kept. There is off-road parking on a gravel drive for one car, and the property is accessed by a shared, gravelled, well-lit footpath.

Loved our stay at The Bray. Sue & Chris are such wonderful people, and made our stay just that little bit more memorable. The cabin is cosy, clean and well equipped. The welcome touches were a pleasant surprise! Perfect spot for a rest within nature. Loved meeting all the farm animals too. Especially Paddy, Percy and little Hattie. Thank you

Loved this peaceful location, very restful. Had a great week, enjoyed the donkeys, sheep and geese. Close enough to Tenby, also enjoyed Narberth, Bosherton Lily ponds, & Cresswell Quay. Lovely friendly hosts

Lovely hosts and great location. If you are looking for tranquility then this is perfect. Away from the normal busy lifestyle and loved listening to the birds and the 3 lovely donkeys that came to see you is an added bonus. Enjoyed our stay very much and would go again.

Nicely set back on a farm in bucolic seclusion, not far from Cresselly Quay and Carew Castle & tidal mill, this lovely wooden caravan-style home is ideal for a getaway for a couple. There's everything you might need and more provided like towels, even a hot water bottle. The only immediate neighbours are sheep and donkeys, So quiet. With a clear skRead morey, stars galore at night. Great as a base for coastal visits like Tenby and closer Amroth beach & cliffs. Supermarkets: Pembroke Dock 25min. Hide

If you like privacy and to be tucked away in the countryside with animals and birds for company this is a clean well equipped accommodation for two. Good Wi-Fi, USB points smart TV plus comfy bed make the most of this Sheppard's hut. The Carew Inn nearby serves first class meals and is recommended. Three donkeys expect carrots cut up small!
