  • Stylish converted barn situated on a family-run farm with garden with private hot tub for memorable evenings under the stars
  • Quiet, rural location on the outskirts of the village of Berrynarbor
  • Can be linked to adjacent property to create a larger property sleeping eight guests
  • Fantastic location between Ilfracombe and Combe Martin, in reach of Exmoor
Property code: OC-43640

This property is one of two barn conversions situated on the owner’s working farm, just a mile from the local beach at Sandy Bay, which extends round to the pretty seaside village of Combe Martin, with its five pubs, fish and chip shop, and ice cream parlour. Also within only a few miles of the property are plenty of family-friendly attractions including Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park, the theme park at Watermouth Castle, and the popular resort town of Ilfracombe. This former-barn has been lovingly converted to create an attractive holiday property with an elegant minimalist style, with the kind of attention to detail guests may expect to find in an upmarket hotel.

On the ground floor, the spacious lounge/diner is a relaxing space in which to unwind, with its exposed brick, comfortable sofas, dining table, TV/DVD, wood burner, and French windows leading out to the garden. Walking through the dining area guests come to the contemporary kitchen which is equipped with an oven. hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, and washing machine. Like the lounge, the kitchen also has doors which lead out to the enclosed garden. Open-tread wooden stairs lead to the first-floor accommodation, including the four bedrooms. The first of these is a chic master bedroom suite, with a king-size bed, TV/DVD, and an en-suite shower room with a bath, separate shower cubicle, and WC. Further to this, there is another king-size room and two pretty, single rooms, all of which are decorated to the same high-standards as the ground-floor rooms. The main bathroom, also on the first floor, has a bath with hand-held shower and WC. Guests should note, that due to the property’s former life as a barn, the upstairs rooms all have some restricted head height and sloping ceilings. Outside, there is an enclosed garden, with a patioed sun terrace, lawn, and a private hot tub. The garden is equipped with table, chairs, a BBQ, and sun loungers, making it the perfect place to relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.

We had a super holiday staying at The Barn, everything seemed to have been thought of. The hot tub was very popular and there's lots to do nearby that kept all 3 generations of the family, and dog, happy. The garden space is just perfect too. We hope to return.

Beautiful barn, in a stunning location. We particularly enjoyed the hot tub and having the local village shop 2 mins walk away, listening to the bells ringing at St Peters and meeting the few hours old lambs on the farm. There's a fish van weekly in the village car park and you can walk to Watermouth Cove and Coombe Martin. Beds were really comfortRead moreable and decent pillows! Tea, coffee, biscuits, dog biscuits and sparkling water on arrival were greatly recieved. Enclosed dog park in village. Hide

Everything had been thought of by the owners to make all guests feel welcome & special. So many lovely touches like a bottle of wine & some milk in the fridge. A little basket by the door with practical things we might need. The whole property was so comfortable, clean, cosy and classy. We will definitely come back. Just wonderful

The cottage was in a great location to explore North Devon, although most of it is closed in January!! Great retreat for peace and quiet, handy local shop. The hosts were really lovely leaving a welcome package of refreshments to get our stay started, wood for the fire and fresh flowers.

A wonderful holiday! The accommodation was spotlessly clean and fresh. So comfortable - I was in one of the double rooms and I slept so well. Downstairs is spacious and the kitchen really well equipped. The hot tub was a test and we loved that there were a few games and books there too. Would highly recommend.
