Had a lovely week staying with my husband and 2 dogs. Really lovely cottage in the heart of the farm. Very quiet and private. Good amenities. We had ideal walking weather and as such spent are days walking, exploring some local towns and returned to enjoy relaxing in the hot tub before settling in with fire on for a cosy evening. We did get takeawaRead moreys from both the Indian and chip shop in Bala which were excellent. There is a local pub but we choose to eat at the cottage as easier with 2 dogs. Loved the area, friendly owners and local people. Would definitely recommend and would return if staying in the locality again in the future. Hide

Overall we had a lovely stay at Garth Farmhouse, it was quiet and private which is what we wanted. Hot tub was nice and again private. As its on a working farm you can hear the animals, for us that wasnt an issue. It was nice seeing the sheep all around the cottage. You need a car, its not really within walking distance of anywhere. Not much Read morein Bala so you might want to go further a field. The lake in Bala is just beautiful. Cottage was clean overall, except the patio furniture hadnt been cleaned for a while and given how hot the weather has been it would have been nice if that had been cleaned prior to arrival. Hand wash was provided, and plenty of towels were provided. have to comment on the beds, unfortunately they are very uncomfortable, so we didnt have good sleep, we were there for three nights, not sure we could have managed anymore nights on those mattresses. I think a small welcome basket would have been a nice touch. Hide

The cottage has ample space, with the option of an electric fireplace in one lounge, and a real fireplace in the other! What a fantastic week away with our dog and 2 young boys!! The farmhouse is stunning! In a perfect idilic location with plenty of space inside and out! We enjoyed plenty of walks either straight out by foot from the home or a short drive away followed by a soak in the hot tub when we got back! We will definitely be returning in the near future.
