This property enjoys a tranquil rural location in the North Devon countryside, just a short distance from the Devon/Somerset border, and close to the edge of the stunning Exmoor National Park. Just a few miles from the coast, there is ample opportunity to explore local beaches, and hidden coves, including those at Lee Bay and Woody Bay, whilst the wide stretch of sand at Woolacombe is just fourteen miles away. For those who can tear themselves away from the delights of the coast, there is much more to see in the local area, including the Wildlife and Dinosaur park at Combe Martin, the Lynton and Lynmouth Cliff Railway, and Watermouth Castle, with its family friendly attractions.

This property offers the perfect place for a relaxing break with friends and family. Upon entering, guests will find the lovely, spacious lounge, with its huge corner sofa, Freeview TV/DVD and a cosy wood burner (one basket of logs provided). The kitchen/diner has been lovingly finished in an attractive farmhouse style, with a wooden dining table, a pretty window seat, oven and hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, Nespresso Coffee Maker, washer/dryer, and dishwasher. Upstairs, the property offers three bedrooms. The first of these is a king-size room with views over the garden, the second a king-size room with an en-suite shower and WC. The last room is a bunk bedroom with full size bunks. The bathroom has a shower over bath and WC.

Outside, the property enjoys beautiful gardens, which are mainly set to lawn, with plenty of space to relax and run around. There is outdoor seating here, as well as a BBQ, making it perfect for enjoying the peaceful surroundings. Guests are also able to explore the farm, where they will find the resident sheep and alpacas, as well as an enclosed children’s play area with a climbing frame, swings, slide, and a trampoline. A table tennis table has also just been added.

Lovely rental with beautiful gardens. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Beacon Down. This is the second time we have stayed here. Just perfect. Welcome provisions of tea ,sugar, milk and Border biscuits were really appreciated. It was our 61st wedding anniversary and the weather was perfect. Thank you for making us so welcome. Location is excellent within easy reach of beaches and other attractions. Very good accommodation for the family. Clean and tidy on arrival. We had a really great time here. Communication with Ashley and Mel was smooth and they even ordered equipement for us we forgot at home + recommandations of things we needed to visit. The house was clean and large, with nice views at the garden and surrounding hills. There are al lot of coves, beaches and walks in the neighbourhood to explore. TherRead moree is enough space to park and - even though it doesn't look this way on Google Streetview - the private garden is very secluded. Would visit again! Hide
