Perfect for couples, families or a get together with friends, this traditional stone barn which used to house shire horses that once worked the land, retains its original character, with contemporary facilities and eco-friendly credentials including solar power, ground source heating and sheeps wool insulation. The small rural parish of Tittesworth sits on the south western edge of the Peak District National Park near the North Staffordshire/Derbyshire border between the market towns of Leek (2 miles) and the spa town of Buxton (11 miles). It boasts some stunning views on one of the most beautiful drives over the hills of the Peak District to Bakewell (17 miles), famous for its Bakewell pudding. The area is also known as the 'Staffordshire Peaks' or the 'Staffordshire Moorlands' and has excellent walking and outdoor pursuits including cycling and climbing close by at the famous Roaches (3 miles).

Step in through the impressively large old entrance door into the hallway with beautiful herringbone brick flooring leading through to the kitchen/diner. The handmade kitchen is crafted with seasoned oak planks from the farm and marble worktops, with a dining table nearby that comfortably seats six. There is a separate utility room with plenty of space to dry walking gear, as well as a handy downstairs WC. The lounge hosts a cosy wood burner and French windows with beautiful views of the Peak District fields and beyond. Curl up on the comfortable seating with your favourite programme on the Smart TV. Head upstairs via the open tread staircase to the large landing area showing the full character of the barn's original beams and exposed brickwork. This leads to three comfortable bedrooms, two doubles and a twin, one of which is en-suite. Just off the landing area, there is also a family bathroom with a shower over the bath, perfect for a long soak after a day exploring the surrounding countryside.
Relax in the enclosed garden with a charcoal BBQ and locally made garden furniture, perfect for al fresco dining with family and friends. Enjoy the 180-degree panoramic view of the Peak District National Park, The Roaches iconic outcrop of rock, Gun Hill and Morridge Top. The icing on the cake has to be watching the spectacular sunsets.

Lovely location, a thoughtful conversion, and great to walk from the door to The Roaches. Having the log burner lit when we arrived on a cold April day was a lovely touch, as were the daffodils and flapjack. We would stay again. Thank you.
