This property boasts a wonderfully rural location on the owner’s 135-acre farm, set in rolling countryside on the border of Shropshire and Herefordshire. There are many miles of scenic walks to be enjoyed direct from the property’s front door, with Bircher Common being just a short walk away, giving access to the 30-mile-long Mortimer Trail, which stretches from Ludlow to Kington. The town of Ludlow is itself, a wonderful place to explore, with its fine medieval ruined castle, interesting historic buildings, and its well-deserved reputation as a foodie favourite. Other attractions in the area include the 1000-year old Croft Castle, West Midlands Safari Park, and the towns of Hay-on-Wye, Leominster, and Tenbury Wells.

A ramp leads guests to the front door of this barn conversion property, which opens directly into the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. Here guests will find a comfortable sofa, and a dining table, alongside the TV/DVD which open outs into a sun room that can be used to enjoy the views year round. The kitchen area, running along one side of the room provides everything that guests will need to prepare their favourite meals, including an oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, and tumble dryer. A short corridor leads guests past the cloakroom with WC, to the bedroom, a restful space with a super-king size bed which can be made up as a twin room on request. The en-suite wet room contains a shower and WC.

Outside, two steps from the sun room lead to the private decked terrace, which is accessed via the living area. The owners have provided garden furniture, making this a great place to relax and enjoy the pleasantly tranquil surroundings and views across the farm. There is off-road parking provided.

This cottage is the most comfortable and well appointed I have ever stayed in. I could have stayed much longer for that and the peace and quiet.

The cottage was very comfortable, catered for all our needs and was a lovely place to relax which was what we needed to do. Very thoughtful to provide copious amount of crockery and cutlery. We would love to return at some point.

A very clean, comfortable and well equipped cottage. It's on a single track road but there very little traffic and lots of passing places. Well placed for visits to Ludlow and Leominster. Lovely walking country with walks start right on your door step.

Thank you so much for a lovely stay. Caroline and her father Edwin made us feel so welcome. The farm accommodation was delightfully peaceful and relaxing with a lovely view from the conservatory and terrace. The bed was comfy and spacious with an ensuite walk in shower. The kitchen was well appointed and attractive. Big plus was the dishwasher. NeaRead morerby walks take you to remote areas with incredible views and much wildlife. A visit to Ludlow up the road is a must. Forget Cornwall, just book it. Hide
