Sweet secluded cottage situated up a country lane near the charming village of Mere - perfect for relaxing and exploring with our dog. Great pub in Mere - The Walnut Tree - where we had an excellent Sunday Carvery (the staff fell in love with our dog). There are also great walks in the area that we did ending at the interesting brush museum - HillbRead morerush - where we coffee and cakes. The food looked excellent. Hide

Rose Cottage is a lovely cottage in the countryside with meadows and sheep around and a small lake, it is very quiet and peaceful. The A303 is in about five to ten minutes distance, purchase facilities in Mere and Gillingham. Stourhead Park is very close, also Fonthill and Dinton Park, where there is the Riverbarn Caf situated at the river in a nicRead moree garden. The Landlady is very helpful and friendly and a gifted gardener, there are lot's of roses and other flowers around the Cottage. We enjoyed our time at Rose Cottage tremendously! Great location for walks on the farm or nearby and for touring wider afield. Cottage had everything one might need for a break away from home. Bed was rather firm.though. Owner was really lovely and very informative and knowledgeable on places to visit. Would definitely go back and recommend to family and friends.

A very nice cottage with a good location. Quiet and peaceful with the busy A303 only a 5 minute car ride away (never heard the traffic). No private garden for our dog but the lanes around the farm are so remote that you hardly ever see any vehicles so ideal for out walks at least. Ideally situated for us to get out and about to visit the attractionRead mores we came to see - Stonehenge and Longleat. The cottage was comfortable and well equipped. Hide

Nice cottage in the countryside. It was lovely to be there. With in half an hour 's drive you could visit so many interstong things as museums, castles and splendid country side walks. Also Stonehenge and other things of the past were rather close.

We had a lovely stay at Rose Cottage. It's a beautiful place and had everything we needed for a small family holiday. The kitchen is well equipped and was easy to use.
