This five-bedroom rural property is one of eight similar properties on the same former farm. Retaining many of its original features, inside and out, this impressive barn conversion approached by a long, farm lane, is well-located above Portreath. A short walk to the harbour, local pubs and a few village shops, is also well-located for trips to St Agnes, Truro, Redruth, Newquay and Land’s End. New ‘mining trails’ have opened close to Portreath taking you through the different local habitats and the stone ruins of old wheel houses. The beaches of Chapelporth, Porthtowan and Godrevy are all very close to the property making it a great prospect for those looking for an idyllic North Cornwall break.

This property has three of its five bedrooms situated on the ground floor with the lounge areas upstairs. On entering the property you are welcomed onto the ground floor, and you will find the bedrooms, the first of which is a four-poster bedroom and en-suite complete with WC and newly refurbished large walk-in shower with rainfall showerhead. Also on this floor is a small bedroom with twin beds. Rounding out the ground floor is another double bedroom with en-suite shower room and WC. This room has access to an enclosed patio area via French doors. The newly refurbished kitchen/dining room is spacious and equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave, coffee machine, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and separate drinks fridge plus a washing machine for your convenience. Further bedrooms on the ground floor have pleasant views of the garden and immediate countryside. Nearby is a spacious bathroom with a shower over bath and WC.  Go upstairs and you arrive in the open space of the lounge area, which has lots of relaxing seating and a Smart TV. The galleried area enjoys wide views over the bay below, with a beautiful large window at the end of the room. There is also an external staircase up to the lounge in addition to the main internal one. The first floor bedrooms include a double and a twin room with great views of the sea. There is also a shower room with WC on this level close to the two bedrooms for convenience.

Outside the property there are two patio areas, one with a hot tub and one of which is enclosed.  You have access to a shared outdoor children’s play area with swings, slide and football posts.  There is also a BBQ by arrangement.

Fabulous location for exploring Cornwall. A lovely quiet location, we saw rabbits, foxes and a deer nearby. Lovely downhill walk into Portreath, ate in both the Portreath Arms and Brennan Arms both very good. Hosts very friendly and sorted out minor issues very quickly. We would definitely recommend to friends.

An outstanding stay at a beautiful cottage with top-notch facilities. Our appointed chef said the kitchen was a pleasure to use. Marvellous lounge space with a picture window. Lovely location - quiet and rural, but within easy distance of lots of Cornish highlights. V helpful hosts.

We had a most enjoyable stay at Hellfire Jacks over the last two weeks. The property was very spacious as per the photos and the bedrooms compartmentalised to accommodate our grandchildren and their parents into their own sleeping areas which worked well. Hellfire Jacks was just perfect for our family holiday, it had everything. Absolutely spotlessly clean and the friendly owners took care to check with us everything was OK. Great location for visiting Lands End, St Michael's Mount, St Ives, Portreath Beach. We had a lovely week at Hellfire Jacks. The cottage was very clean and everything provided-even robes for the excellent hot tub! Beds were very comfortable and we all slept really well. Recommend the New Inn for a Sunday roast and the Tideline cafe for breakfast/brunch. Fantastic well equipped holiday cottage, the owners have thought of everything. As a party of 10 Hellfire Jacks was the perfect break. There are 2 pubs within a walking distance, we liked The New Inn, word of warning take the pavement route! Hot tub was great and bubbled away for the whole of our stay. A truly fabulous break

Beautiful setting - lovely cottage. The views and sunset from the upstairs lounge were stunning. Lovely to have the hot tub - easy controls and lovely and hot which you dont always get . The cottage and location were perfect for us to explore the beautiful Cornish beaches and surrounding areas. We were 3 generation family members and everyone of us were catered for both in rooms and the kitchen cupboards. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay even though there weather wasnt great. The camel trail on bikes was an excellent day, also the trRead moreain from St Erth to St Ives, but the best was the beach on the one sunny day, so many beaches to choose from as all are amazing.
