Nestling in a picturesque location overlooking the Glaven Valley, Wiveton is a charming Norfolk village within walking distance of the delightful coastal villages of Cley and Blakeney. Set in the Norfolk Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Wiveton is perfect for guests looking to enjoy birdwatching or fantastic country and coastal walks. The Wiveton Downs are a Site of Special Scientific Interest and the Blakeney National Nature Reserve is nearby, offering the opportunity to see grey seals in their natural habitat. There are plenty of lovely towns and villages to explore including Stiffkey, Salthouse and Sharrington. The popular coastal town of Cromer is just a short drive away and offers plenty of traditional seaside holiday activities.

Situated in working farmland, this wonderful cottage offers fantastic views and excellent accommodation with plenty of room for children and dogs to roam safely. On entering this beautiful property, you will find yourself in the spacious and inviting open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, which retains many original features including a beamed ceiling and oak doors which open onto a large enclosed courtyard. With lots of comfy seating, Smart TV, a large wood burner set in a feature chimney breast, and a selection of books, AGA-style-style and games to enjoy, the welcoming and cosy lounge is an ideal space to unwind in. There is an attractive dining area with space for up to ten guests. Heading over to the charming kitchen, you will find it fully equipped with a large electric range style oven, fridge freezer, microwave and dishwasher. The washing machine, tumble dryer and ironing facilities can be found in the nearby utility room. You will also find a playroom with TV and plenty of seating, which is an ideal space for children to play and relax. Exploring the ground floor further you will find three cosy bedrooms: there’s a spacious  king-size room, a double room with an en-suite shower room comprising of shower cubicle, hand basin and WC, and a twin bedroom. There’s also a second bathroom complete with a shower over the bath and a WC. There is also a separate ground-floor WC. An oak staircase leads you from the large hallway up to the first floor, where you will find two more bedrooms. There is a large twin room with an en-suite shower room comprising of shower cubicle, WC and hand basin, and a super-king-size room with an en-suite bathroom with bath, separate shower cubicle and WC.

Stepping outside, you will find a walled, enclosed yard with a stone terrace with garden furniture, fire pit  and a BBQ. The garden also has a large lawn, and there is plenty of space for children to play, as well as a climbing frame. There is parking available for up to five cars. Please be aware that the property is on farmland where there are livestock (sheep and pigs) so if you are bringing dogs with you, they must be kept under control. There are also many wild deer so it is recommended that dogs are kept on the lead.

We have become very fond of The Boxes having stayed three years running. It is a fab location and has a relaxed ambience. A very social space, well equipped in every way. Walks are wonderful and wildlife abounds. Private and quiet, yet close to many places to visit.

What a fabulous place, home from home in a beautiful location. The perfect venue for our family to celebrate birthdays and spend time together. A really special house, unique, comfortable, and homely we didn't want to leave! We will certainly be back

We had a great stay at boxes its a real home and so beautiful we loved it. We are four couples two dogs and two wheelchair users we all coped well and had a great holiday. Lots of wonderful walks and holt was a short car journey full of wonderful things. A lovely 'home from home' perfect for our family and basset hound. Great walks straight from the house, with two cafes within easy walking distance. Easy drives into Holt (which has a good range of shops and decent supermarket), and to the coast. A lovely, secluded spot for a holiday but with everything you need in the glorious surrounding area. A great property, very tranquil , lots of room not falling over each other. Enclosed garden for the children to run wild . Nothing around you apart from pigs and cows. No animal smells though ! We really enjoyed our stay at this lovely property. We have been coming to North Norfolk for over 15 years and this is one of the best homes we have stayed in. Boxes was very spacious and extremely comfortable for our party of seven adults and four dogs. The enclosed courtyard was a big plus for the dogs. Boxes is situated in beautiful and quiet surroundings, but not far away from places of interest.
