Marans Lodge is a comfortable property, set in a stunning location. An ideal base for anyone seeking somewhere to chill out, relax and get away from the hustle and bustle of normal life. We enjoyed watching the wildlife, including the sight of a red kite. The cottage is well located for some nearby National Trust properties and RSPB reserves as Read morewell as nearby Audley End, which is an English Heritage property, not National Trust as shown on Holiday Cottages website. The bathroom is in need of some refurbishment but we enjoyed our stay in this lovely area of Essex. Hide

The Cottage, especially the bathroom could do with an update, otherwise we had a nice welcome and had a great stay.

A quiet location with opportunity to see wildlife and lovely walks. Owners friendly and helpful. Welcome of free range eggs (from the farm) and locally made bread was wonderful. Can get to station and into Cambridge easily. National Trust, English Heritage properties available as well as Duxford war museum.
