Quietly positioned down a private road between Inverurie and Banchory, 19 miles west of Aberdeen, this spacious farmhouse is perfect for family gatherings. This is an ideal base for outdoor enthusiasts with field sports, golfing, hill walking and even skiing at The Lecht or Glenshee. Aberdeenshire is known as 'Scotland's Castle Country' with many castles, stately mansions and ruins to discover. The Cairngorm National Park is just 21 miles away and there are many day trips to be enjoyed including the nearby Grampian Transport Museum. Salmon, Sea trout & wild brown trout fishing is available on the River Don by separate arrangement.

The property comprises of spacious and light rooms throughout, with the lounge, kitchen, dining room, and large conservatory all interconnecting, making an ideal space for family gatherings. The well-equipped kitchen contains an electric Range style oven and hob, microwave, American-style fridge/freezer, wine cooler and dishwasher. The kitchen leads through to a dining room that seats a maximum of 14 guests around an extending oak table, with a wall mounted Smart TV which can be seen from the kitchen. The large conservatory, which is accessed from the dining room through double glass doors, has underfloor heating, a wood burner, and is furnished with comfortable sofas and armchairs making a wonderful space for card games, board games, or just relaxation and chat. The lounge has two sumptuous sofas and a love seat, there is a wall mounted Smart TV and soundbar, books to read, and in the cupboards there are board games, playing cards, and some children’s toys and games. There is one bedroom located on the ground floor, a super-king-size zip-and-link (which can be made up as a twin on request) with an en-suite shower room with WC. A further three bedrooms are located upstairs on the first floor, each being tastefully decorated and of ample size. The master king-size bedroom, with a view of Bennachie in the distance, has an en-suite shower room with WC. There is another king-size bedroom and another super-king-size zip-and-link (which can be made up as a twin on request), both of which share a bathroom with a bath, separate shower, and WC. The fifth bedroom is located in “The Garden Room” which is a separate building adjacent to the main house, just a few steps across the garden, The Garden Room has a super-king-size zip-and-link bed (which can be made up as a twin on request), with an en-suite shower and WC.

There is lots of outdoor space for everyone to enjoy. The house is surrounded by a large garden, laid mostly to lawn and with garden furniture. Summertime meals can be enjoyed on the paved terrace, there is an outdoor cast iron cooking pit with a swing-out grill and a gas BBQ as well as charcoal. The swing set is sure to delight younger children and the games room, located in a large Nissen hut at the back of the house, is guaranteed to keep all ages occupied for hours with table tennis and table football. There are many wonderful walks to be enjoyed directly from the house around cropped fields, along the Milton Burn, around the estate loch, and through woodland. Ample private parking is available.

The property is ideally situated in central Aberdeenshire, handy for Aberdeen itself, the coast, and for all the wonderful castles and gardens in the area. This cottage was absolutely perfect for 10 people, the conservatory with the heated floor is amazing and we spent most of our time relaxing in there as a family. We had a great stay, even in the pouring rain. The kids loved the swings and the games room. The garden would be gorgeous in the nicer weather. We stayed at the farmhouse to celebrate a 30th and 50th birthday and we were wowed at how spacious the property was for us all including our dogs. We came prepared with our own cleaning products etc but we didnt need to use any of these as the property was fully equipped with everything. This is an absolutely beautiful house and the best equipped of any house I have rented. The owners have thought of everything. There were 10 of us including a disabled guest and we never felt crowded. The kitchen is huge as is the dining table. Lounge and conservatory give 2 options for relaxing. The location is beautiful and peaceful but it is 3/4Read more of a mile up a farm road and the nearest shop is a 15 minute drive away. The Games Room was great fun. Had a great week at Milton Burn Farm.. Was everything we had hoped for.. Weather was mixed but didnt detract from our holiday and activities. Plenty of space for our party of 8 adults, 2 infants and a cocker spaniel. The whole house is decorated and fitted out to a high standard. We really enjoy the conservatory. Fantastic long weekend stay at the cottage. We were a big group of 10 adults, 3 babies and 2 dogs and not once did we feel as though we were all on top of each other. The hosts of this property have thought of absolutely every little detail which did not go unnoticed. Group of ten friends we had a lovely stay at Milton Burn farmhouse. It was extremely warm and comfortable. The kitchen was very well equipped for every need. We love the conservatory and made good use of the wood burner. Totally recommend this property and would definitely book again.

A very cool house. The photos on the site were absolutely identical to reality. The house is very spacious, surrounded by forest.
